Beyghor Sahdett Respect Thread

"I was with four other Jedi. We had each been captured, beaten, and starved. We were brought before him, surrounded by armed soldiers. But we were Jedi. Even then we held onto hope. And he offered us more. But he wanted us to fight--each other. The survivor would be granted freedom, he said. Of course he knew what we would do...what we must do...and he laughed. I have never seen such skill, such speed. He gave us hope, then took it away. If you had been there...if you had seen...you would have done what I did. You would have done the same! You might still! I have contacted the Emperor. At the very least Darth Vader is on his way! When you see his power, you will beg to serve him!"

Beyghor Sahdett is one of the most unique Jedi in all of Star Wars because he's the only Verpine Jedi I've seen in the mythos. He was active during the Clone Wars and was able to defend himself during Order 66, killing his Clone troopers and surviving the event before going into hiding. Sahdett would soon be captured however and brought before Emperor Palpatine, who gave Sahdett and the three other Jedi captured with him a choice: pick up the lightsabers gifted to them and fight between themselves with the winner being granted his freedom, or die. The Jedi actually chose to attack the Emperor himself, but Palpatine proved too fast and powerful for two of them, cutting them down in an instant. Sahdett knew he was outmatched and decided to save himself, killing the other Jedi and being given his freedom. He would later search out the crew of the Uhumele in order to find fellow Jedi survivor Dass Jennir for Emperor Palpatine and try to lead the crew and Jennir into a trap, alerting Darth Vader to their whereabouts but ultimately being found out. Sahdett would be killed by Vader after telling him he was working for Palpatine and believing him and Vader were "allies" because of that.
