One thing I don't like about this book and Superior Foes is they turn certain characters into jokes or losers. Sure it's fine for some characters but they should be more careful of who they choose.
Curious to which villains you are referring to. The only one I kinda had an issue with was Machinesmith...
@superhoodie: According to this article Coates is a fan of Hickman's writing and aspires to be at that level of writing for comics. I think we're in good hands.
I "read" this series, but from the get-go the art has really been the only thing going for it. Talk about a plot that jumps all over the place! Going on a mission... wait, I'm young now! Well, here come my kids, but now I'm distracted by something else. Oh well, back to my kids, WAIT! I got a mission to fight gods now. Now I have a big sword and I'm fighting Wonder Woman and Superman!
I'm still buying the series because I still hold out hope of a good Deathstroke series... eventually. So far in new 52 its been pretty awful story writing from start to finish. The current series is better than the last one, but has a lot of room to grow...
Mockingbird was great and Quake was entertaining. I'll probably pick this one up as well, though Ive never been a fan of Nick Fury Jr. Hes character seems even less... needed with the merger of the Ultimate and 616 universes after Secret Wars...
