Descender #12 flies by, but not before stopping to deliver a punch right to the heart.It’s amazing to think that this is only the 12th issue of Lemire and Nguyen’s Descender. The two have meshed so well, and done such a stellar job of establishing this world of robots, humans, and scrappers, that it feels like they have a hundred issues under their belts. In a way, all that world-building and character establishment truly climaxes here. Tim-21 seemed to be in greater peril than ever ...

I have a terrible confession to make: I have never watched Tales from the Darkside. Not the TV show, not the movie… Nothing. But I was familiar with the property and that familiarity combined with the addition of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez as the creative team for this comic was enough to pique my curiosity.
