Marksmanship

Each member of the League of Assassins chooses one weapon to specialize in after they can completed the training. Merlyn chose to specialize in archery and has beomce one of the very best archers in the Arrowverse.

Merlyn is also skilled in throwing projectiles

The most impressive archery feat Merlyn has to date, is in season 1x9. Merlyn is able to use a combination stealth and archery to beat the Arrow in their first encounter. It is evident throughout the fight that Merlyn is the superior archer of the two. Merlyn is able to tag the Arrow three times, whereas the Arrow couldn't tag Merlyn once.

Merlyn displays his archery skills against League ninjas in Nanda Parbat.

Merlyn displays great archery skills while he is fighting side by side with Oliver in 5x22. Merlyn takes out multiple A.R.G.U.S. agents using his bow and arrow.

Merlyn fires three arrows in just over a second while killing Adam Hunt.

Merlyn also carries explosive arrows in his quiver. Merlyn's trick arrows have a way slicker design than Oliver's.

H2h Combat

Not only is Merlyn an amazing archer, but an extremely skilled swordsman and unarmed fighter as well. Merlyn is capable of taking out members of the triad, mercenaries and ninjas with ease.

Not only is Merlyn skilled enough to take out fodder with ease, but he can beat next to any named character he encounters as well. Merlyn is skilled enough to easily dispose of Brick, Vixen, Nyssa and others of the most skilled fighter across the Arrowverse.

Merlyn beats Vixen in CQC in Legends ep 2x9.

Merlyn absolutely annihilates Laurel in CQC. Laurel tries to defeat Merlyn using her baton. Merlyn is easily able to fend her off, even with his hands on his back.

That quote just goes to show how highly Oliver thinks of Merlyn as a combatant.

Merlyn has proved himself capable of fighting mirakuru soldiers as well. (2x23)

Merlyn is capable of bringing Nyssa to her knees in about ten seconds in a sword fight in arrow 4x13. (Video is dubbed in Italian)

Merlyn is seen "sparring" with Nyssa in ep 4x3. Nyssa states that she wasn't sparring, but actually trying to fight Merlyn. Merlyn is clearly portrayed as the superior combatant. Merlyn disposes easily of Nyssa in their encounter in the tie in comics.

Merlyn dresses up as the Green Arrow and fights a bunch of Ghosts simultaneously. (4x9)

In Merlyn's first proper h2h showing against the Arrow, Merlyn really proves himself to be the better combatant. Merlyn is not prepared for this encounter and not geared up, yet he comes out victorious.

Merlyn holds the upper hand even in his final encounter with Oliver in season 1. Oliver is only able to win by stabbing himself in the shoulder.

Ollie to Merlyn 1x23

After Merlyn loses his hand, is he still capable of fighting some of the best fighters in the Arrowverse. It is not known whether losing his hand has effected his fighting ability in anyway. Due to some inconsistent showings after losing his hand has led me to believe that there is a difference between fighting with a prosthetic rather than his real hand.

Merlyn fights on par with Damien in Legends 2x10. Damien can be interpreted as having a slight upper hand, but there is not too much to differentiate the two.

Merlyn also fights on par with Sara after losing his hand as well. Merlyn does ultimately lose the fight, but he puts up a good fight. Merlyn even had the upper hand until he started with his typical villain monologue.

Training

Not only is Merlyn a phenomenal fighter himself, but also an incredibly good teacher. Merlyn is responsible for training Thea into the very capable fighter that she has become.

Merlyn also trains Oliver for a period of time. He is seen training both Ollie and Thea in a 2v1 fight and still schools them.

Physicals

Merlyn is in peak human physical condition, he is capable of performing extraordinary speed and strength feats.

Durability

Pain Tolerance

Merlyn possesses very high pain tolerance as well. Merlyn pours boiling water onto his hand without flinching in Arrow 3x3.

Merlyn is seen in Arrow 3x15, enduring tremendous amounts of torture by the League.

Strength

Merlyn is one of a very limited set of characters that has knocked Oliver out with brute force.

Speed

Merlyn has superhuman reaction speed, he is able to dodge and catch arrows with ease.

Stealth

Merlyn has broken into the Arrow lair countless time, even after they upgraded their security.

In the s4 crossover he brings a whole bunch of assassins with him as well. They move undetected into the lair, then suddenly appears once the lights are out.

Merlyn infiltrated Nanda Parbat, which is no easy task.
