@thespoiler: 4 issues. No one-shot. No tie-ins.

If it were Marvel, they'd have milked the sht out of it.

Excellent point, except for the fact Marvel hasn't been milking their events for tie-ins lately. Clone Conspiracy's only tie-ins were with Amazing Spider-Man (about the same character and written by the same guy) and titles directed related to Spidey (Silk & Prowler), leading to only a handful of issues. Monsters Unleashed specifically separated its tie-ins from the core series so they wouldn't interrupt what was going on and could be easily ignored. Judging by upcoming issues, Secret Empire has several but nowhere near as many as past events and they all make sense to be related to that story. I don't see how any of that's "milking", and it doesn't explain people hating on Marvel for "cheap gimmicks" (even when they're not) yet praising DC for doing what sounds like one.

So people complain about how Marvel sucks because of all the events and "cheap gimmicks", yet are excited when DC announces an event that crosses over the current books and an old, beloved, unrelated comic as if that's not a gimmick?

I know people have gotten on the Marvel sucks/DC rules bandwagon against any logic or consistency, but WTF?

Probably means nothing from me at this point, but I think I'm gonna leave. I can never shake the feeling that no one really wants to interact with me and the few that do are just doing it out of politeness despite me being an inconvenience, and I don't want to be that to anyone. There were a small handful of people I didn't feel like that with and actually felt close too, but the past month or so has sorta closed anything there, so I really don't have much reason to stay (even if I do like other people here). I also really don't contribute anything in my posts, so it's not like much is being lost. Outside of that, I feel like the site is really negative about most things and I think it's rubbing off on me, which I'd like to stop happening.

I do want to thank the site for helping me with various things. Aside from comics, I've gotten into various TV shows (including my three favorite) and movies from others on the site. More importantly, I was able to use the site as a way to experiment with being called some things (sorry for being vague, but I'd rather not go into detail) that helped me a lot, made me feel better, and helped me discover who I am. That was important to me, and I'll always thank the site for that.

That's all I have to say. Not sure where I'll go from here, as the only thing for sure about Steph is nothing's for sure.

3600 sounds like a good number to end things on.

Both are great (I feel these two and Iron Man and the MCU's best), but I've always liked Thor more. Probably because I'm a much bigger fan of him than Hulk in general.

9.

Nearly flawless. Only thing holding it back for me is that "I won't kill you but I don't have to save you" scene.

I'm thinking about reading New X-Men: Academy X. Just need to find it.
