ComicVine is one of the worst websites ever, so I had to make several accounts, because a) they won't let you recover a username you forgot (so if you forget your username, your account is effectively void. They don't tell you this, because they're T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E.), b) if you don't conform to their username policies when making a new account, policies which they don't tell you upfront (because they're T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E.), then they completely wash everything else you put, so if you typed a long password and didn't have it in your copy-paste tray, then they won't allow that, c) they only allow premium members to change their usernames. This means that if you hypothetically accidentally input your very private password in the username field thinking that it's for passwords--and you were registering using another social media account so you didn't know you didn't need a password--that you are now showing people your very private password and cannot fix it without deleting the account, and d) whenever you try to deactivate your account, you have to go through a long, mildly arduous process just to finally get rid of that hypothetical password projection only for an error connection which means your attempts at deactivating your account would not register.
GAMESPOT: FIX. YOUR. WEBSITE.
Yes, this is a rant, but I think it's a pretty fair, honest, and earned one.
