In today's Blog , I would be taking a look at the Duel between Anakin Skywalker , Obi Wan Kenobi and Count Dooku on Genosis and then the Following bout of the masters between Master Yoda and Count Dooku .

Establishing the Threat : Count Dooku

The Count is established very early as a great threat to the Jedi Order and All of The Galaxy as a whole , A lot Attributing to his Politics but thats not what we shall discuss here today , Count's power is as Established as that of Yoda and Mace level EVEN BEFORE he went to The Darkside

Jedi Dooku have a consistant supremacy over Mace upto that point and a solid Superiority at that because Mace was apparently never able to best Dooku in a friendly Duel

Master Windu himself remained perfectly balanced and centered. In the history of the Jedi Order, only two opponents ever overcame him in battle. One was Master Yoda, who some said was the Order's true master of lightsaber combat. The other was former Master Dooku, whose own fighting style was archaic, yet stunningly effective.

Jedi Dooku , is even implied to be superior in pure dueling then The legendary Master Yoda ( Pre TPM but Yoda had always been the GOAT Jedi )

Count Dooku was probably the greatest swordsman at the Jedi Temple.

Dooku , is even stated to be an Equal of Pre The Phantom Menace Palpatine .

Sidious's boldness surprised him at first, but it hadn't taken long for Dooku to become fascinated by the Sith. Instead of a lightsaber duel to the death, there had been much discussion, and a gradual understanding that their separate visions for how the galaxy might be rescued from depravity were not so different after all.

So we have a Character , who is established to scale to both the Most powerful Jedi of all Time ( TPM Yoda ) and The Most Powerful Sith of All Time in Palpatine , and then we add the fact that there is a Massive amount of Growth for Dooku between The Phantom Menace and Attack of The Clones , tho its probably only about force prowess

when in his Flash of Brilliances , Anakin is in a mode where he Moves FTE to Obi Wan and is so powerful that the power he displays in the force had only been shown to Obi Wan by post Meditation Qui Gon

Never had Obi-Wan seen such a display of the Force from a Padawan. From the great Jedi Masters, yes. From Qui-Gon, near the end of his life.

But from someone so young? Anakin's power astonished him. He had glimpsed it before, but now he had seen it unfurl, and it staggered him.

So the scale here is A Flash of Brilliance Anakin during Attack of The Clones is more powerful then The 16 Year old Flash of Brilliance Anakin who is already superior or equal to Darth Maul during The Phantom Menace

Darth Maul is a tier 8 Duelist , tho count is a better duelist Then anything seen upto that point

So Anakin is a tier 8 in Flash Of Brillaince and a High 7 normally , Obi Wan is a High 7 Normally

Establishing Yoda as the GOAT

Yoda , is the GOAT as soon as TPM in legends

The Duel in The Hangar

This Duel is......pretty sad to watch

First , Base Anakin runs at count , Count casually one shot Base Anakin and blow him away by combining Telekenesis and Lightning

But this was no simple warrior enemy. Dooku's hand shot out toward the charging Jedi, sending forth a Force push as solid as any stone wall, and a burst of blue Force lightning, unknown to Jedi, charged all about the trapped and lifted Jedi Padawan. Anakin managed to hold onto his lightsaber as he went up into the air, held there by the power of the Count. With a wave of his hand, Dooku sent Anakin flying across the room, to crash into a distant wall, where he slumped down, dazed.

so there goes Base Anakin who was completely one shotted and fodderized , now we move onto Obi Wan , who had 10 years of development since the Time he was already a formidable challenge for A Tier like Darth Maul , Oh wait , Obi Wan made an ATTEMPT to Hold his own but was casually beaten , also Anakin was still struggling to maintain consciouness because of that casual wave of Force Lightning .

the Film always depicted them as not being clown at all , as Count Easily overpowered Obi Wan's saber Lock

you can even take a look at his rraction while he is doing it and tell me if he is remotely struggling

in the comic book adaptation he pretty much makes a joke out of Obi Wan while beiny Dissapointed at Obi wan

he is noted by Statements to have Easily defeated the Duo

Anakin and Obi-Wan pursue Dooku to a secret hangar, where he defeats them easily, cutting off Anakin's hand.

Obi Wan felt completely Overpowered by the Count

"Count Dooku's fall has troubled us all," Obi-Wan acknowledged. "Now we have a great and powerful enemy." His thoughts turned to his battle with Dooku. He had never met such power in battle before. He had never come up against something that had completely overpowered him. Even meeting the Sith Lord who had killed Qui-Gon had not been the same.

Anakin's impulsive attack gives Count Dooku the chance to overpower him and Obi-Wan easily.

He was spotted by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, who followed Dooku, attacking him in the hanger. They were easily defeated by the Sith Lord but before he could finish them off, Dooku was surprised by the arrival of Yoda.

Anakin and Obi-Wan dueled the former Jedi in a hangar,

From the Presented Evidence , Dooku is completely one shot gap above AOTC Base Anakin and Obi Wan , he Already one shotted the Stronger of The Two with not even a full power Lightning blast .

First , The Count Toys with Anakin , doesn't even fight him seriously , even then count was so easily Superior to Anakin that Obi Wan was practically Wanting Anakin to simply Just Run away .

Anakin caught the weapon in his free hand and attacked again. But even with two lightsabers, he could not hold back Count Dooku for long. The Count smiled and began to toy with him, knocking the extra lightsaber out of Anakin’s hand.

Retreat, Obi-Wan thought. Stall him. But Anakin was not retreating; he was being driven back. The combat had almost come full circle, back to where Obi-Wan lay. The Count smiled slightly — Obi-Wan was not sure at whom — and his blade flicked out almost too fast to see. Anakin screamed as his right arm dropped to the floor, cut off at the elbow.

Dooku, far superior in the art of the duel, severed the young man's arm, which would later be replaced with a crude metal one.

Attack of The Clones Dooku is atleast a stomp Gap above an already Tier 8 Oppnent like Flash of Brilliance Anakin

The Battle of The Masters

now lets move to the best Fight in Attack of The Clones , The Ultimate Battle of The Masters

First , No Yoda wasn't Holding Back against Dooku , he was willing to destroy Dooku and was using his full powes

Yoda is an immensely powerful Jedi who can control blue crackling Force lightning. It is a cruel weapon of the Sith so he never normally sees it. But he knows that sometimes you must destroy your enemy with their own weapons.

Even then, the fight between the Jedi Padawan and Sith Lord was 75% longer than is shown in the film; the extended sequence was shot and Hayden Christensen had worked 8 weeks on that scene. In the original version, Anakin fared much better against Dooku, fighting with the green blade for a short period before Obi-Wan tossed him the blue lightsaber, and even injured Dooku’s arm just like Luke injured Vader’s arm in The Empire Strikes Back.

Lets see how they start the fight

Dooku launches Force Lightning , which Yoda puts great effort in deflecting and he is the only Jedi in the film who would actually not get one shotted by Dooku's force Lightning

Dooku gave a little growl and thrust forth his hand, loosing a line of blue lightning at the diminutive Master. Yoda caught it in his own hand and turned it aside, but far from easily.

Dark side powers enabled Sith Lord Darth Tyranus (Count Dooku) to manipulate the Force at will, hurling objects or casting devastating energy bolts. Only a Jedi Master as powerful as Yoda could survive such an attack.

and then we see Dooku casually surviving his own lightning being thrown back at him

then they have a bunch of force showdowns , Doesn't matter as these two are established equals in Force .

"You can't just go right into the sword fight, so I decided to go back to The Empire Strikes Back of throwing things at each other, even though I knew they were equal to each other, so it was a hopeless gesture and they would've figured that out in two seconds. But for the audience it's nice for them to go through this process of throwing everything around."

The old Master was so accomplished in every aspect of the Force that until the Battle of Geonosis he had rarely needed to resort to his weapon. When he did, he proved as masterful with it as without.

Another thing worth mentioning is that Yoda was Gravely exhausted by Dooku in their fight

Movie also supports Yoda's exhaustion as Yoda , the strongest Jedi of All Time , was failing to hold a Goddamn Pillar after fighting Dooku

AOTC Dooku at Full power should be superior to AOTC Yoda , And at the state he fought him in he was equal to him in force and Slight inferior in force , He is One shot gap above Tier 7s like Obi wan and Base Anakin and Casual stomp Gap above Tier 8s Like Flash of Brilliance Anakin .
