Maybe Man of Steel was the first

The Man of Steel was the first of DC next line of superhero movies. But then the news came about Man of Steel featuring Batman, I thought it sounded weird. Yes, he had a very good trilogy a few years ago and it could be confusing to start a new one. But then I started thinking again. What if DC would be the first to create a series of films, that would be related but not sequels. Like of Man of Steel 2 would be called Superman/Batman it would be a sequel for Superman and a prequel for Batman. Anyone else thought of this? I mean, sure, Batman will get his own film. But maybe all of DC's movie will be like this, connected in movies where some of them appear and are introduced and the next film of the series will only feature one of them. Maybe this sounds messy but I hope you get it.

Kinda like how Iron Man introduced Nick Fury and SHIELD, Iron Man 2 introduced Black Widow and had a teaser for Thor, Incredible Hulk had a cameo by Tony Stark, and both Thor and Captain America had lead-ins to the Avengers. I don't think it's a new idea but I think it's good to do cross promotion to get people interested.

@princeimc: Exactly, but DC would make all of their movies into one film series, so it's not some Superman movies and some Batman movies but many DC-universe movies. Kinda like the movies would be like DC Comics Presents.

It may work like that, but if they're all Synder adaptations it would mean 1 DC film every 2 years.

So if the rumoured Flash in 2016 & JL in 2017, is one DC movie a year enough when Marvel throw out 3 a year. I was hoping for an announcement of another film to be released in 2015.

It's better to have one good film than three mediocre ones.
