So the only thing new, is a naked Herc cover for the Avenger Academy series ...i read one of the articles an a editor (i believe) stated we wont be seeing a Hercules solo series for a good long time. Which after that last series, i would have guessed it. Anyways, where does a depowered Hercules fit in this Universe called Marvel? What series could use him? what teams could he join (Secret avengers) maybe? i recently saw a a article where rulk, x23, venom, and ghost rider are teaming up... maybe he could get a random assortment of his fellow heroes an make a "Champions" like team.. ANY IDEAS? PLEASE ELABORATE...

ps I SAY JUST GIVE HIM HIS POWERS BACK

Why does Herc get no respect from the fans? ive seen people say "its because his outfit dosent do it for them" like really? i mean he sleeps with more Chicks than anyone out their! Call me out if i am wrong but if i post a Wolverine vs Hercules or spiderman vs hercules thread... majority of the reads would say "wolvies faster he would cut right through em" and "spidermans smarter and better fighter" but all i see is Hercules winning both (easy against wolverine) no question and yes i can see spiderman giving herc some problems because of his smarts but sooner or later hes going to have to throw a punch and i see herc taking advantage with his superior skills, speed, and strength!

I personally believe alot of fans out there post without any idea of what Herc as done or what hes capable of doing... i read the incredible hercules series and it really changed my whole out look of the character. READ IT PPL!!!!

@Xan: Hercules is stronger than Thor - Hercules has lifted the weight of the world which included the added weight of the midgard serpent wrapped around it. World + Midgard Serpent > than Midgard serpent. Thor can't touch that even with the lame plot device "warrior's madness" or his myth-based belt of strength. Hercules is the superior fighter - he's been around longer, is trained in unarmed combat and doesn't rely on an all-powerful weapon or belt of strength, not to mention Thor himself has admitted Herc is his better in hand-to-hand combat. Hercules is more durable and has greater stamina - this has been stated/rated several times in the various editions of the Official Handbook ot the Marvel Universe. Herc doesn't tire after any exertion and is a true immortal. Thor is a God but as a Norse God he isn't truly immortal (only extremely long-lived) and would eventually succumb to at least a bit of fatigue. These are the categories where Herc has the edge. Thor IS definitely more powerful over-all than Hercules. Before he inherited the Odin-force Thor still had absolute command of the storm as well as Mjolnir which just happens to be one of the most powerful weapons in all of existence. Now that Thor has the Odin-force he is a being on par with any of Marvel's cosmic beings and could obviously defeat Herc anyway he would want. Basing this battle strictly on physical abilities and fighting skills Hercules wins. However, this is a close fight. If Thor uses his elemental powers and/or the full power of Mjolnir he wins. If Thor has and uses the Odin-force this is a mismatch and Herc has no chance. Also, I like Thor he's truly one of my favorites but without his non-physical abilities he's a close second to Hercules.

the only thing hercules is better in thor in is hand to hand combat

thor has better strength

coul fly

control over all types of weather

thor is more durable

idk if hecules can breath in space but thor could

thor has over 15 other powers

thor is superior in basically every way!

heh are you not listening? THEY ARM WRESTLED TO A STALEMATE hes not stronger... thor has never beat herc... herc has taken down thor... an yes thor can fly but since herc is on par with hawkeye with a bow an arrow he would hit him right between the eyes an bring em back down to earth then beat em again... hehe (its a stretch)

i mean i understand being a fan of someone but if Thor holds Herc in such high regards an sees him as a brother an equal! why wouldnt his loyal fans?

@U R Sofa King We Todd Did: Hercules isn't the god of anything. He wasn't given precedence over any anything by Zeus. He calls himself the Prince of Power, but that's just his bravado. I know some like to say he is the god of strength but he is not. He's not even a full god, he's a demi-god. He is destined to be ruler of the Greek gods and replace Zeus as high-father.

update: Herc is the (currently de-powered) God of Heroes.

I think Hercules would take this. His Lion's cloth gives him invincibility where as Thor's durability would remain the same. He would be stronger than Hercules but shouldn't be able to hurt him, where as Hercules blows should hurt Thor as usual. Their hammers are equal in might but not sure how his cloth would do against Thor's unfettered storm powers. But if it makes the wear invincible, I can only go off of that statement until proven wrong.

I agree with this analysis. The determining factor that gave Thor the edge on these boards (they pretty much stalemate in the books) is the diversity of Mjolnir, because we all know Thor has said Herc is the better h2h fighter. Therefore, it stands to reason that if external weapons cancel each other out, the edge goes to Hercules. The nature of his enhancement, the belt of strength, and energy manipulation will not be able to harm Herc, but Herc can still injure Thor. Herc wins this by virtue of being unable to lose.

I dont get why you Thor Fans dont want to reason?

Herc is a better fighter PERIOD! Thor admitted it!

Thor is not stronger!! they ARMed wrestled to a stalemate!

Thor has NO recorded win against Herc NONE

Herc speed is Underrated (100mph!)

We all know Thors a much more popular guy but he lost to herc in blood oath so get over it. heh

The supporting cast was just horrible. i mean Griffin turns from a humanoid villain to a dog like pet for herc...who though that was a good idea? kind of creepy to me. I mean besides the hobgoblin i didnt care about any support character. i will always support herc comics but this series had it coming from the start of fear itself. Maybe if Ares came back, people might have cared more about the series but adding all those villain that i dont think the most hardcore of fans gave a damn about just seemed sad to me.

I fear we might not see hercules on the pages of comics for some time
