Since it's Halloween today, I decided to do something fitting. This is simply a list of characters who I find to be the scariest in comics. This is mainly an opinion list, but feel free to list your thoughts in the comments.
This guy just terrifies me. I have nothing to say beyond that, otherwise I'll just freak myself out. He's just a serial killer, but one I could believe exists in real life.
The guy just makes my skin crawl.
Just think about it. They can change their appearance to impersonate anyone, and they can just infiltrate anywhere without someone knowing. Just a scary thought to me.

Do I need to explain?
He's a genius, manipulative, and has the extra strength and stuff. He's insane enough to do some gruesome evil stuff, but sane enough to convince the world he's just a businessman. He's basically broken his son beyond repair, plus everything he's done to Peter in attempts to break him. I just find all this terrifying.
The character himself isn't very scary (to me at least), it's just what he can do.
Really depends on the writer. Sometimes I read a book with Joker and am just scared thinking about him, sometimes I read him and just don't think anything, and sometimes I read him and just sigh at how pathetic he is (like during Death of the Family. They were just trying way too hard to make Joker scary, when all they needed was a writer who knew what he/she was doing).
There's just something about that face.
I've heard a lot of people say he's the scariest character in comics. I actually haven't read anything with him, so I couldn't say. I simply mentioned him here so that way no one in the comments would ask where he is.
