He woke up in a hospital bed with a fractured skull somewhere in the late 1920's, with no memory of who he is, what happened to him or even what his name is. The nurse tried to put a needle through his arm, and the needle just broke against his skin. His skull healed shortly after that. He took the name Hancock after the nurse asked him for his "John Hancock" (signature). As the years passed, Hancock turned to a homeless alcoholic bum living in a trailer off the coast of LA, performing acts of very questionable heroism on occasion. A public relations specialist named Ray Embrey, whose life Hancock saved from a train crash, decides to pay him back by turning him from a bum who does more harm than good into a true hero.
The movie was directed by Peter Berg, and Hancock was portrayed by the actor Will Smith.
Hancock's strength is pretty insane and far above the 100 tons range.
Tears the roof off a car:
Kicks through the floor of the car (striking feat) and brakes it with his feet (raw strength feat):
Juggles the car in the air:
Flips Ray's car over like a toy:
Throws a gray whale (around 35-40 tons) over a very large distance:
Pins Mary to the ground:
Hancock's shoulder-bash can match the force of a speeding train:
Impales a car on a building's antenna with a kick:
Does this to a man by throwing a candy bar at him:
While injured, throws a hospital bed through a concrete wall:
Hancock's durability against any and all types of damage is insane.
Rams into a road sign at high velocity:
Gets smashed with a truck by Mary (who is at least as strong as he is himself) and is completely fine afterwards:
Fights Mary for a long while:
While depowered and severely injured, Hancock survives a fall from a high-story window:
Here's Hancock after putting out a house fire, showing that he is fireproof (sadly his clothes aren't):
In his fight with Mary, Hancock gets blasted with lightning several times and doesn't even seem to feel it:
Unaffected by powerful tornadoes (look at the car for comparison):
Hancock can breathe in space (he went there off screen though):
Hyper-sonic. At least.
He launches himself into the air with such speed that he shatters the stone bench that he was sitting on:
Breaks the sound barrier:
Grabs a boy, flies with him to the sky, leaves him there and gets back down without the other kids being able to see him:
Picks off bank robbers in faster-than-eye speeds:
Maneuvers around a plane while flying above the speed of sound:
Reacts to grenade launcher:
Hancock may be weird, but he is the best kind of weird there is.
That's what happens when he, uh... climaxes:
Puts a guy's head in another guy's ass:
His fingernails are so sharp that he can use them to cut a hole in hardened glass:
And also to sharpen steel:
Hope you enjoyed!
