@The_Deathstroker: Well, rule 2 is really intended for the most extreme of circumstances. Like if someone were to go into great detail into how they were going to kill their next door neighbor we'd be very concerned on numerious levels (and we might actually do more than just lock their thread...), but in most cases the rule wouldn't apply.
If you are concerned about a particular story then you could pm me or one of the other Mods and we could check it out for you, but honestly: I am not all that concerned. At the very least if you are worried about your story you could add a little disclaimer at the beginning like, "warning this story might be considered violent by some people." but ultimately I wouldn't worry too much about it.
@arthurkerr: Whether I missed the "important parts" or not is another subject. The point is that parts of your story come close to violating one of this forum's rules and we have to draw the line somewhere on this subject.
If you want to discuss this furthur PM me. I am always happy to talk about numerous subjects with users.
@arthurkerr: ok so here's the thing: I don't want to see stuff like this. It is great that you don't actually show anything, but even though you don't show anything the main idea of your story is sex. It would be one thing if you wrote an story soap opera which focused on the plot twists, the drama and the betrayal. You might imply two characters slept together, but your story just focuses on the later with no other focus. Which I cannot allow.
The title of this section ("Fan-Fic") often makes people think that they can only post stories related to comics or other commercial properties. However, we encourage people to post anything, especially original content (as long as it follows the forum rules). Think of this section as the writer's version of the Artist Show-Off.
We don't have many rules in the FF section, but here are the four you must follow at all times:
1) NEVER Post material of a or swear
You are required to follow Site Rules and FAQs even in your stories (anyone who wants to complain about the hampering of creative genius is invited to post elsewhere).
2) NEVER Post anything
When we say intensely violent, we mean INTENSELY violent. If you going into great detail and long paragraphs dedicated entirely on how Hannibal Lecter kills and eats people then you might get a warning (and I mean GREAT detail). But this is a rule intended for the most extreme of circumstances. If you are concerned about a specific story then you may PM a moderator and we will address your concerns. However, in most circumstances this is not a problem.
Plagiarism is considered the copying, in total or in part, of author's work without clear attribution. If you are posting someone else's story, you must have the author's express permission to do so. They must know you are posting their work here.
Also you if you are writing a story based on the users of CV then you MUST get those named users's permission. If a user withdraws their permission for your usage of their name then you will be asked to edit them out or have your threads locked as this might be seen as harassment which is against site rules. Of course a ruling on this subject is done via a case by case basis.
While we do want to see you shine through your original fiction here, please keep in mind that this is the Internet. If someone steals your idea, it is plagiarism! So if you think you have the greatest idea since Batman or The Lord of the Rings, you should protect it accordingly, and that is solely up to you.
