yeah, we like to do this sort of thing every year. The staff used to do these user recognition / award kind of things (we called them Community Stars or Community Spotlight). However, since we don't do that anymore, we kind of thought the best way to put a spotlight on the community was to do these threads each year (actually it was kind of different but that's the story I'm telling...yay for changing history!)
