the same can be said of the differences between stamina to vitality to endurance to durability to strength. all are a form of strength but have different meanings.

indestructible has one meaning. it can not be destroyed. 
 
invulnerable has a wider use of its meaning. you can't say your mind is indestructible to mental attacks... that just doesn't make any sense. you can say your mind is invulnerable to mental attacks. 
you can also say that a soul can be invulnerable to being altered, but it will not make sense if you say that a soul can be indestructible to being altered.
