Maybe they are PIS, but so is the rebellion defeating the Empire.

Just looked up the summary. The technology is only like 30 years more futuristic as far as I can see, not that impressive. I thought you meant some of those freaky 30th century feds or whatever (Star Trek would make a lot more sense without time travel)

Anytime intruders are wandering around your ship they are a threat. If the Borg can't recognize that then they are dumb.

Well yeah those guys were taking out the borg pretty easily, I mainly meant they are more powerful than anything the federation has thrown at the Borg, and the Feds usually scrape together a victory. You have an episode name/number for the voyager episode? I couldn't make it through that series.

Besides, like I already mentioned, the Borg are dumb as hell. They don't even kill intruders on their own ships.

"Did you even read what I said before? I guess not.  Borg have hundreds maybe thousands cubes, billions drones and they are really adaptive. They'll  be eventually immune to everything... Not to a main weapon of Death Star, but they can destroy it from inside once they'll adapt to their shields. They'll teleport drones and soon it'll be Borg Star. "

  Rough estimates for the number of Imperial Star Destroyers is 25,000. They can also pump out new ones very quickly.

@PhoenixoftheTides: Borg, intelligent?! HAHAHAHA.

You can't compare the rebellion, an internal terrorist force, with the borg, an external threat. The Empire's military is ideally built for crushing an extrernal threat, like the Separatists. They have millions of worlds under their control and have an ungodly ridiculous advantage in construction speed.

As for Borg adapting, it's a no limits fallacy. Star Destroyers are more powerful than any of the ships they have encountered before. Besides they only adapt to frequency based weapons like phasers, if they can't adapt to a punch there's no reason to think they could adapt to a turbolaser.

More likely it has knowledge of past machines in its memory.

Even if that's not the case, you're using a no limits fallacy. I can look at a simple pulley system and know how it funcions, doesn't mean I could do the same with a nuclear reactor. The Iron Man suit is vastly more complex than any Terminator ever, there would be no way it could figure out the suit.

IIRC Hawkeye destroyed the machine Doom was planning to drain Onslaught with, we don't know if it would have worked or not.

Thor's lighting IS Magic.

And you need to watch that last episode of JLU again. Superman got in some good hits, but Darkseid still beat him, and would have killed him if not for Luthor.

@comicdude23:  No, Darkseid hit him with the Pain Matrix and was about to kill Superman when Luthor showed up.

He beat Doomsday by using a machine to send him to the phantom zone. If you're talking about the first time it wasn't the same Superman who beat him.

When did he beat Darkseid? Maybe he did in the regular Superman cartoon, I didn't watch all of those, but Superman never defeated Darkseid on his own in Justice League.
