History and personality
Kenshin is a noble individual, rarely sighted to engage in violence via verbal assaults, instead, he quells confrontations with calming words to defuse the situation, and possibly, stop him having to kill whoever was causing this disruption. He is very traditional, still diligently studying and living the ways of Bushido, using the tools of the samurai, and keeping their virtues close to his heart.
Not particularly an isolated individual through choice, more circumstantial, Kenshin does engage in emotional talks with close friends if he feels they care enough, and he has an unlimited amount of care for all of his friends, and his entire city.
Having defended the city (to the best of his ability) for the last 1000 years and until the day he dies, Mr Yoshida will never cease.
Skills and weaponry
Master of the Sword: Due to his age, experience, and inherent aptitude due to being an authentic Samurai, Kenshin is one of the words best swordsman, having personally fought (and taught) some of the greatest grandmasters the world has even known for over 1000 years. He has mastered many sword fighting style, among them include: Iaijutsu, Kenjutsu, Battōjutsu, Ninjutsu, Shinkendo and the more modern style of Kendo. His favorite move being the Laijutsu quick-draw sword technique for it's offensive or counterattack-oriented actions, the Iaijutsu technique is utilized aggressively to wage a premeditated surprise attack against an unsuspecting enemy, or a quick draw method to intercept an enemy with blitzing speeds, usually targeting an opponent with a sudden diagonal slash towards the chest. The reason this technique has an entire art attached to it's name is due to the intimate understanding of it's lethality, if used correctly, it could potentially defeat the enemy before the beat of a heart, both an offensive measure (to slash the enemy) or a defensive measure to make distance, or disarm an opponent.
Katana (x2): A slightly-curved, single-edged sword which has been carried and used by Kenshin for over 1000 years, crafted from the purest form of adamantium and impervious to all damage. The katana was blessed by the ancient monks, and cursed by Shinigami, meaning only an opponent stronger, as as strong, as Shinigami can damage the sword.
Wakizashi short sword: Not adamantium, merely a replacement sword if his first is broken, slightly shorten than the katana and made from pure steel.
Shuriken: Adamantium coated, multiple of these weapons are stored within The Daimyo's belt, able to be access in an instant.
Makibishi caltrops: Standard caltrops made from rusty iron, they are used to disable attackers chasing him. They can be used as a thrown projectile, but a shuriken is much more deadly.
Metallic Yumi Bow: A small version of a standard Yumi, capable of firing arrows with enough force that they can pierce a knights steel breastplate with ease.
Metsubushi Blinding Powder: These blinding powder packs can be thrown into an opponents eyes or broken in the air near them to cause horrible effects, filled with ground glass and laced with CS powder, they literally blind an opponent if taken in the eyes, and cause horrific damage to the respiratory systems.
Explosives, Smoke bombs and poison gas bombs: Standard explosives and an assortment of other bombs.
Poisoned darts:
Bō staff: Traditionally used by the samurai, and expertly wielded by Kenshin whilst used in conjunction with his air manipulation abilities, his staff is precisely one meters long, crafted from the hardest wood in Japan and blessed by the ancient monks to render it as hard as steel, yet retaining it's weight. Being a master in bojutsu, Kenshin is able to use the staff with fearsome consequences.
Powers [Outdated, or really, just needs to be re-done]
Over 1500 years ago, Kenshin's ancestors made a pact with whom they assumed to be the Japanese deity of immortality. This deity gifted the entire family an enigmatic array of elusive abilities, and forever, any who share the bloodline would be gifted these powers. The deity who came before the ancient family visited them in the form of an iconic Kitsune and in ancient Japanese folklore these creatures are respected and infamous for their extended lifespans, wisdom and intellect along with many magical properties. They are also well known for being linked to spirits and some say, demons. The assumed to be deity bestowed many abilities upon the lineage; among them being, the power to change their physical form into an actual fox (otherwise known as in Japanese by the name Kitsune), an extended lifetime of up to 7000 years, healing properties and the senses to hear an owls cry over 100 miles away or the drop of a Katana in another city. The eyesight to see a marching army coming over the horizon or the extraordinary vision to perceive the smallest, most minute details in fabric, to a degree which only a microscope would be able to replicate. However...This was all a lie, the deity was no deity, in fact, the metaphysical manifestation of fear known as Shinigami, and this curse (or gift) came with a secondary ability....Teleportation...
Delayed teleportation: An unorthodox, mystifying form of teleportation which allows Kenshin to teleport, but with restriction. The teleportation between two places happens at half the speed as physical transit would entail. The only difference being he does not inhabit the physical space in between, nor is he visible to anybody. If he could run a 100 meter dash in 10 seconds, he would teleport 100 meters in 5 seconds, this however, does allow him an unassuming advantage in battle, he can "shift" destination mid-battle, and stunt his reemergence to confuse, even in close spaces, such as close quarter combat, Kenshin may "vanish" and reappear behind an opponent five seconds later to try and disorientate, or scare them, as opposed to instantly appearing behind of an opponent without delay (although at distances such as unarmed combat, the delay is barely noticeable if at all). This does come at a dire cost however and a cost which often averts Kenshin from this form of travel, whilst transporting himself, he "ascends" into a higher realm, this other plane of reality being the realm of the dead, once teleportation commences his spirit traverses though the spirit world, allowing him to see the dead samurais of the past, loved ones, demons, and the worst sights a man could see. He has often had nightmares of these sights and as such, he is reluctant to use teleportation unless the situation is dire. Travelling to another country for example may lead to insanity for a short while, having to recuperate after the horrifying experience of transportation.....Shinigami gains power every time Kenshin uses this, Kenshin is unaware however, Shinigami siphons the residual fear from the teleportation through the perceived underworld.
Air manipulation: One of his most elusive abilities is the capacity to influence air currents, and utilize them in unorthodox ways. Air is the element of freedom. The key to air manipulation is flexibility and finding and following the path of least resistance in all walks of life. This ability is notable for being almost purely defensive, as well as the most dynamic of the four elemental arts. Kenshin can create a compressed ball of air and propels this at an opponent, or levitate small objects. This can also be used in a form of "air" bullets, via propelling compressed air at heightened speeds to actually penetrate concrete, or using the air currents to blast a shuriken at an opponent at near supersonic speeds.
Spiritual arts: Although he possesses no formal telepathic training, Kenshin is learned in the ways of the mystic, spiritual arts. Capable of travelling through other planes of reality at a whim, and bring back the dead once he ventures into the spirit world.
