The Custodian had been patient long enough. Her friend, indeed her sibling, had requested there be no violence...so there would be none, but only because it had been asked by someone she considered as important to her as her deceased brother. Had it been anyone else, she'd be tearing apart the woman on a molecular level already. Her face was a picture of calm stoicism but it was the mask of a Binary performing their gene-forged duties...it was a lie. Below the surface, hidden away, she felt rage. Fortunately, she was a Binary first.

She watched the blood like substance and heard her friend's gasp and she acted on two distinct levels simultaneously. First, the knife. With the power to pull planets out of alignment and shift the positions of stars she reached out with gravity and sought very simply to pull the knife from the woman's hands and to her own. She had no doubt it wouldn't truly disarm her but it was the principle of the matter. The second and simultaneous action (for tearing at a knife required a minuscule amount of her power) she tagged the woman herself. She didn't know precisely what she was doing but it didn't take a rocket scientist to guess. She tapped into her graviton manipulation and sought to pull the woman off her feet and away from the flowers with just enough force to be hopefully disrupting to her plans, and perhaps deposit her on her backside. It was not violence, merely pulling someone off balance (assuming it worked) and away from what they were doing. She trusted the others to act swiftly as well.

Light glowed in the palm of her right hand, bright enough to light up a building, concentrated enough to vaporize armor. For the moment she held off with a third action, though her plans for it would not be technically violent either. Her restraint at the moment was extreme, given the circumstances and though Kaede preferred peace, she would not sit by and do absolutely nothing either. If the woman could circumvent allowances, then so could she.

There was one other thing she could do, and she did it. She sought to interpose herself between the flower and the woman focusing on it, floating above the grass and landing directly in front of the flower, a Binary wall of immortality willing to suffer for the sake of her adopted sibling. If she could not engage the women with physical violence, she could certainly get in the way, among the other attempts she was making. At a thought her clothing was suddenly replaced with her Binary uniform and, more critically, the light adapting visor that dropped in over her face.

Just in case she would need to blind her.

To be honest I'm beginning to feel written into a corner where the only outcome at all is she loses everything.

Edit: to be clear, it's because the actress to me should show at least some loyalty, Luna has literally nothing to go on, it looks like all she can do is wait to be attacked.

The Custodian had come in just in time for Kaede to start her explanation. She listened quietly, let her friend get in everything she wanted to say and then gently pressed a small box into her hand. "This is for you, we don't really have a gift giving practice back home but I felt it was important here and it seems I was right. You've been approaching this in your own way and I love you for it Kaede, but you're doing something we've all been guilty of at one point or another. You've taken it all onto yourself. We need to figure out what the rest of us can do to drive out the shadows."

She looked around at the others and then redirected her attention to Kaede. "I think I can speak for everyone here and say you're the best of us and it would be awful of all of us not to find a way to help you when you need it, you've always been there for every stray cat and lost soul that's come here, including singular Binaries. We're here for you. We'll use everything in our power to help you deal with the shadows and come back stronger than ever...because to be honest Kaede, I'm kinda done losing siblings." Perhaps the 'sibling' label had strong meaning with anyone, but Kaede would be aware of the weight it bore when spoken by a Binary, it was a word choice The Custodian had been very deliberate in using. She knew it wouldn't slip past Kaede.

"So let's start figuring out what to do, rather than talking about you taking it all on your own." She finished.

"Oh no, it wasn't a date...I'm not ready for that." The Custodian assured both of them. She again saw the reflection of unfortunate emotions in Kaede's eyes though and smiled gently. She placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. "I'm not in love with anyone Kaede and that's not going to change any time soon. I'm happy for my brother but love is...it's not required and it's not for everyone. It was given to us as a way out because our creator understood the pain and sacrifice that comes with being immortal. I'm going to be with my friends here for a long time, as long as you'll have me." She smiled.

"If anything happens again between Landon and I it will be coincidence. I'm sorry...both of you...that I didn't tell you about my brother, I just...I guess I was kind of lost in my own mind. I'll try to be better about it next time something like that comes up. My brother...he loved this planet and its people and you two show me why every day I spend time with you. Maybe I'm sometimes rocky at being a friend or sharing everything but I'm trying to learn to be better. Next time something happens, you two will find out right away, I promise."

The Custodian caught the frown and the hint of concern in Kaede's voice. "Ok but after I tell my story you're going to tell me why you're only half happy." She agreed. "And...I should have said something about my Brother but...I just sort of acted, I didn't really think I just..." She shrugged a little. "I was very angry and upset." She admitted. "No one was hurt, but there's a security firm that needs to replace their vault."

She smiled, returning to better thoughts. "So I went to this club and for awhile i just kind of watched people have fun and then Landon, you know the guy with the horrible nickname, anyway, he comes up to me and we talk for a little bit and the next thing I know we're on the dance floor." She smirked a little. "It's been ages since I've danced and it was nice and then I guess the music got more...intimate? Or at least...well no intimate isn't the right word. There was a lot of grinding? I'm not even sure it was really dancing at that point."

She shrugged. "So his hands get all explory and I kinda thought about stopping him but it was fun and I didn't? Then we were making out...which I HAVE done before." This is not the part where you explain binary relations. "and then he has an office and the next thing I know my shirt is on the floor." She felt...liberated, telling them, not embarrassed like she had expected. "Everything progressed from their."

Oh dear. The Custodian hugged them both whether they wanted it or not, in part to hide her facial expression while she was trying to piece out the story of where she'd been to a level that was not quite what she'd tell her brother if he were alive. Eventually she smirked a little and decided on honesty. "Ok so...I...don't know how to answer the question. See, if you were my brother I'd tell him EVERYTHING and probably embellish it a little just to make him jealous but I don't really know what's...you know...normal? For Humans I mean? I don't know if I should write you a novel or give you a summary." She admitted, rubbing the back of her neck in embarrassment, not at her story, but at not knowing what to tell her friends.

"I mean, just the initial bit...I got out. I've been spending a lot of time in space or here and I'm sorry I haven't been around much. I recently found out my brother's remains were moved from Grim City and I had to deal with that...I think...I have most of them now but I also think someone stole some of them and then they were stolen from a truck. I haven't quite tracked down where they went after that. So...after that I traveled a little in the US to try and get my heart going again."

Mission successful. Ok well not my heart but I definitely got something going.

The Custodian entered the room, having been in search of her friends since she returned to the "cabin." Fortunately finding people you knew really well by following their impact on gravitons was a simple matter and so, here she was. She smiled when she saw them. "Hey guys." She said as she entered. "Are we having a super secret meeting?" She'd only recently returned from her trip to a certain nefarious individual's bar and was still pretty emotionally high from the experience.

Lingering in the back of her mind was another issue but for a time she just wanted to hang out with her friends, who hopefully didn't have any emergency issues that needed solving, it had been a little while since they had all had time to hang out together, what with all the changes going on around them. She was blissfully unaware of a brief stint in an alternate memory 'paradise' and thus equally blissfully unaware of the pain of losing her brother twice...perhaps a result of trying to mess with a Binary's memory or perhaps the result of her nervous system trying to preserve itself by simply deleting the experience.
