A new Great comic by Al Ewing
Da hell is this?
Well, the history is focusend on the relationship between Hulkling and Wiccan only in the first Arc, between issue 2 and 6 more or less. After, the New Avengers enter in "Avengers Standoff" and "Civil War II" [remaining separated, or following their own story, without jumping on others book] and the focussing on W&H totally stops. From Issue n. 7 the Author start to focus on others characters, so don't worry and go on :)
@thatlyn_yoaeg_ill_rymmin: I am enjoying the New Avengers on the Unlimited App... The only thing I don't like about the New Avengers run is that so much is focused on Wiccan and Hulking's relationship. I wonder if that was a mandate or if Al Ewing decided that he wants to write about an extremely sappy homosexual relationship every month. This might be a big turn on for some but it is over played and boring for my interest. They should just put in the intro page "hay these guys are gay and there is our monthly reminder". I hope he doesn't go over board with Miss America that way.
Al Ewing is a great writer, his run on Mighty Avengers and New Avengers [and also, Ultimates, and Agents of Asgard] was great, and he really love these characters. And me too. So I'm In! :)
Just read Hulk #1 and I thought it was a great start. The mood isn't totally dour, but it does feel fairly solemn. Of course she isn't her usual confident self, but it is interesting to see a story about Jennifer Walters the person. Without her green courage.
Those preview pages probably weren't the best in terms of the art and tone. That stressed face and overall dark color palette made it seem like it was gonna be a more depressing book overall. Though, the darkness does lurk! Which I was pleasantly surprised by, I didn't think we would get much "super hero" type elements in this run. So good so far, I eagerly await more.
As She-Hulk fun, who have enjoyed the last volume, more focused on her work as a lawyer, I was worried that after the CWII the authors will write more about her hulkish part, with her hulking out and raging over, just like some preview let intend... and well, I don't want a "Female Hulk" Book, I want She-Hulk Book! So if, as you say, the story is about Jennifer Walters, focused on herself with few super-heroing, may it's more interesting that what it seem by the previews, so I'm interested again :)
Much like comment like this, anyway :)
TRASH. Harley is a pointless character.
It's the DC... I read various DC comics, but they have a great problem with the concept of "shared and connected comic universe".
An example? Harley Quinn own book and Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad. Both are ongoing and supposed to be parallel...but in Harley Quinn book, she is free, live a "normal" life in Conney Island, have an home and different work. On the Suicide Squad Book she is in prison, clossed in a cell and exit only for the mission. Even their acting are quite different, since S.S. Harley is more violent, bloodthirsti and cruel...
It seem that they are two different Harley... and maybe true, if we really have Three Jokers...
That sound very lazy, and it against the comic universe being connected.
It is. In the original comics, Ho Yisen was asian [I think vietnamese, but I'm not sure] instead of middle easter, but it's the same guy, the man who aid Tony Stark with is first suit.
In Secret Wars, on Battleworlds, there was also a small Reign in which Ho Yinsen survived instead of Tony Stark.
After Secret Wars, in the New Marvel, a new character called Toni Yinsen appeared, she was the Daughter of Ho Yinsen, Engeneering Expert and actually is working for A.I.M., Avengers Idea Mechanics [also called "New Avengers"], under the Leadership of Supreme Leader Sunspot, Roberto Da Costa :)
@superkeaton: isn't Ho Yinsen the name of the guy in the first Iron Man movie that helped Tony make that first suit of armor?
I'm with you
I at least like the idea of the "next iron man" you know? We have a lot of legacies right now and it seemed a little odd that there was no young Iron Man besides a version of Kang the Conqueror :P
Spider-Man - Miles
Ms Marvel - Kamala
Nova - Sam
Vision - Viv
Hulk - Cho
Wasp - Nadia
Hawkeye - Kate
Wolverine - Laura
Why? She is Gwenpool, a different character with no-in-comic-tie neither with Deadpool or with Gwen Stacy. It's not complicated. The cover is Gwen Poole with Venom, nothing other to say. Just like Black Panther cover, is simply T'Challa with Veno :)
I find more complicated the Four Armed Spider-venom on the Amazing Spider-Man cover, really, what is that...?
@donmeca2020: @thatlyn_yoaeg_ill_rymmin: Oh so it's actually MORE complicated than I initially thought. Cool.
And I hope she will murder Santa! Please, do it! :3 :3 :3
