It's crazy reading some of these comments years later lol. WW was pretty much carrying the DCEU on her back until Aquaman came out. It was the first DCEU movie to get both critical and fan acclaim along with high box office numbers. I personally don't think it's the best DC film since the DK, but I completely understand why someone would though. Wonder Woman's third act is one of the few things that's stopping it from being a near perfect comic book movie imo
A Youtuber once described Avatar as a hot chic in a bar you see when you're wasted, and wake up with a clear head the next morning and see she's pretty average at best, and that's a good analogy of that movie. It amazed people at the time due to visuals and affects, but neither the story or the characters are very good. I'll probably check it out on disney plus when it gets there, but I'm not paying to see it it in theaters. Till this day, it's the only movie I've ever went to sleep on in the theaters. It's not for me.
Nah she needs to go. Her antics with Depp is going to be a lightning rod on the press tours. Plus the audio admission is pretty damning against her, at least as far as the court of public opinion goes. There is over a million signatures on a petition asking for her removal from Aquaman 2. She can't even turn her Instagram comments on without getting bombarded with hate. People legit see her as a real life villain right now. That much negativity against one person isn't worth the risk and reputation of an entire franchise. I say cut losses and recast her.
