Ishin probs takes it, but a lot of people would sleep on Merc; his regen factor even tho limited to an hour makes him practically immortal. Ishin's Black Fire (the strongest ability in the fight) doesn't do anything to him as intense heat makes his regen stronger and he is resistant to magic. Although Merc is vulnerable to beam/plasma which Ten has a plasma sword.

Ten wouldn't take this although his standard equipment has many advantages over the other combatants. Most importantly, he is too much of a showoff and lacks the strategic knowledge of Charlemagne and would overwhelm himself attempting daring maneuvers that ultimately get him killed. Akira would suffer the same fate for a similar reason.

Morte doesn't have the powerset to go the distance but would be dangerous early on.

Charlemagne's Chi/Ki based combat would carry him until the end and possibly end with fighting Ishin.

But I think Ishin, even after dealing with all the swordsman on the list eventually wins. Or, everyone dies from mortal wounds.

@tenjin: What are your thoughts on Valhalla?

I liked it a lot, especially after the patch it got better. I think it gets mixed reviews because of people's expectations and lots of online nitpicking. Historically accurate people freak out about things 99% of the population wouldn't even know existed and how there are no one-handed swords. Ubisoft developed it with the ax representing Eivor so it focuses on them but I imagine 1H swords would be introduced in the next DLC.

All in all, it's a fun game with good replay potential.

AC Valhalla got better after the latest patch, lots of bugs sorted out. I am not playing it anymore cuz CP 2077 but will play more once the DLCs and new modes start dropping.

I am playing Corpo in Cyberpunk, because assassins in suits are my bread and butter. Will play Street and then Nomad. Backward for most people but I like the "inside out" perspective of it.

TFW you have triple-digit hours into AC Valhalla: have done everything you wanted to do concerning exploring and violence so now spend your time with mundane tasks like fishing and petting dogs in the game.

@tenjin: Lolz, I didn't comment on the casting because I have no clue who Johnny Cho even is and I never watched Cowboy Bebop. >_>

Dude who plays Harold from Harold and Kumar series and he also played Sulu in the new Star Trek movies.

Cowboy Bebop is OG man, you gotta watch it one day, even just the animated movie is worth watching and will probs get you hooked on the series. It's not long either.

The guy they cast as the main villain, Vicious, is a Shakespearan actor who is gonna outperform the rest of the cast. Classically trained actors can make or break a movie imo. They more than often steal the show and that can detour from the focal character in any given scene. Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, and McKellan are classically trained and they don't always trample others in the scene but I feel they tend to dominate most of the time. Which can take away from what's going on.

I'm not a fan of the new racial statistic flexibility from Tasha's. I mean power gamers are going to power game no matter what, but Mountain dwarf and the yuanti get quite a bit starting out. Being able to freely swap your stat increases right out of the gate just seems bad.

Its kinda broken, I understand why they choose to do it because people were complaining about being "bottlenecked" by a particular race choice's stats. However, just leave it at the homebrew level. Do you want a rather strong Dark Elf? Go for it, just sub out another stat if the DM allows it. But what it opens up is Min-Maxers altering things like mixing the best of Orcs and Dwarves together to make a broken character from the jump.

@xzenix-everdeen: Strongly agree. But unfortunately, it's gonna happen no matter how much we protest so at least cast someone who can carry the character.
