I liked it a lot too. It did some really inventive things, and is even the first serialized Batman cartoon. I was sad to see some of their plans for season 2 (Outsiders, Nightwing, Robin, etc.) since we'll never see them be realized.

Lol, I kinda like Pyg and Toad. Not as messed up as their comic counterparts, but they were getting there by their final appearance.

Anarky also gets a lot better after his initial episode. Honestly, he's a better Joker than most recent takes on the character I've seen. An amusing, antagonistic wildcard foil that never overstays his welcome.

I wish it had more seasons. It was growing into something great, and it was probably the first time I was genuinely surprised at the twists and turns in a Batman cartoon.

Yeah, I don't really get it. Frankly, while it's fun, I always found it far more shallow compared to Beware. Compare how both shows used James Gordon, for example. One used him as an ally with character development and a growing relationship, while the other just used him as a glorified cameo to get his daughter on the show.

These were some fun reviews. The only disagreement I have is regarding the finale. I didn't like how Katana somehow survived the fall without any explanation, but I wouldn't kill her, since the whole point of the ending was how the Outsiders get to form at the end, and she's a vital member of the group. I would've just had her quickly grapnel to a nearby building, since she had the grapnel with her anyway.

5. Secrets - A solid episode featuring one of the show's best villains in Magpie. It's a strong, psychological story that has both Batman and Gordon do detective work to solve a mystery.

4. Broken - Again, another classic villain-of-the-week, featuring the creepy, morally interesting Humpty Dumpty. Nothing amazing, but it execute the story very well.

3. Fall - A very climatic start of the first arc finale. The flashbacks really flesh out Bruce and Alfred, Ra's al Ghul comes off as very menacing, it has some excellent fight scenes, and an excellent cliffhanger.

2. Animal - This episode has an interesting premise with Batman infiltrating Blackgate. Some intense pacing, the growing escalation of Batman's madness, and the excellent debut of Killer Croc.

1. Hero - Deathstroke makes a terrific introduction in this episode, with some fantastic fight scenes, tight plot, and a story that takes a greater meaning as the season goes on.

Definitely Beware the Batman. It was more ambitious, more risky in terms of what it wanted to do with the Batman mythos, and had actual character development and story arcs. I always get confused when people these days (compared to ten years ago) praise The Batman for being refreshing or something different compared to other traditional takes, but always overlook Beware, which did more with that.

It's funny because I watched The Batman and defended it a lot as a teen. I still like it now, but it's probably the weakest of the post-B:TAS Batman cartoons.

Is Ten-Eyed Man in Suicide Squad? I haven't seen it yet.

Huge fan of this show. A lot of the decisions they made regarding Alfred and the villains were pretty bold, but I think it paid off, for the most part. The environment CGI was pretty bland, but the characters looked good. It also is the first serialized Batman show, and I don't think it gets enough praise for that aspect. I would've loved to see a season two and more from this world and its characters.

I'm a huge fan of Brave and the Bold and think is the best out of those, but Beware the Batman also really clicked with me, and wish there was another season. The Batman was okay, but I don't feel strongly about it.
