Looks good! If they are including Gaia than hopefully they will have more information or scenes from the Titanomachy. Interesting to see Hades and Persephone as a scheming duo.

X-Men 97 Episode 5 - Remember It

My take:

• From a character development standpoint this was a great episode for Mark and Debbie in particular
• Tbh the battle with Angstrom Levy was kinda tedious and boring, the show has had much better fights and final battles
• Though the exploration of the multiverse was decently interesting
• Mark leaving the desert was resolved like way too quick and easy
• Mark carrying a lot of stress and trauma moving forward will be interesting. The montage while flying was great.
• Ready for Eve and Mark at some point

I'm relatively fine either way regardless who goes first. Though I'm not sure if posting early is a good idea since we are a month away from actual exchanges, but I'll consider it.

Anthp2000:

Strengths:

• Very detailed posts, which I’ve always considered a prerequisite for CaV’s
• Strong opener to introduce Lin
• Usage of secondary sources was complimentary early on
• Good critical analysis of fight sequences(to an extent)

Weaknesses:

Agreeing with @cocacolaman on some of your points. Quite a few bizarre claims:

• Suyin had “rested” based on a fraction of a few frames
• Suyin was suffering from imprisonment
• Using a mech obviously screeching against the ground as a theory that Lin was secretly earthbending
• Downplaying Bolin and Korra
• Claiming Kuvira’s fights weren’t fair intentionally
• Exaggerating minor dramatic poses

Arcus1:

Strengths:

• Claims are more grounded and reasonable
• Reinforced Kuvira’s stature well with author/artist intent
• Counters for certain claims like the cart power argument, throw, and dramatic license were consistently strong through-out the CaV, with a good handle on martial arts

Weaknesses:

• Lack of scrutiny of your opponent's character
  • Where is the scrutinization of all of Lin’s fights? This put you on the defensive more often than not
• Not enough detail on Kuvira’s bending capabilities from the onset of your opener.
  • I would have liked to see the nuances you brought up in your final post actually introduced from the beginning
• Expected more usage of secondary resources, that were being included too late
• Posts are shorter, but that leaves important points uncontested, though you seem to be busy in RL so that could be a factor

Conclusion

Reasonably good CaV, ultimately I will have to(begrudgingly lol) give my vote to @anthp2000. I think your posts had more work put into them, and covered a lot, even though I don’t agree with quite a few claims. Certainly represented Lin to the best of your ability. @arcus1 also did really well, with some strong counters. Great job to both.
