First time reading V for Vendetta and man, I don't really get the hype. It's not a bad comic or a story. It really goes at the problems of society, but it just doesn't work the way it should imo. The artwork is grim and bleak to intensify the dystopian times, but it is distracting as the coloring and inking are way too dark and grey. The antagonists are hard to distinguish because of the artwork and the lettering has aged and it is hard to read some of the word balloons.
It feels like I'm one of the few people that don't really get Moore's work that much.
Last night I watched Ford v Ferrari and I don't know how this movie won an Oscar for Editing when this was clearly the biggest weakness of the movie imo.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie... almost loved it even, but the editing wasn't one of its strong points. It was really hard to determine when they were doing time skips and at times you were left wondering if any time actually passes as none of the characters aged lol.
