@tdk_1997: The third was definitely a step down in quality compared to the first two though.

Oh, yeah, for sure. I am not a fan of it, but even the third one is still watchable and entertaining compare to some CBMs nowadays.

Hmm... Honestly, it's been so long since I last watched Trinity, so I don't know if I can agree with that. That said, I do remember being disappointed at it back then. But then again, the same can be said about a lot of more recent ones as you said....

I watched it on Sunday and yeah, it's a bit cheesier than the previous two, it really looks like a CBM with all of it's lightheartedness and unbelievable weapons and action scenes, but it's alright at times. I and II are far better, but Trinity isn't the worst movie ever, so I give it that lol.

There’s no dude actively searching and looking for women that already have a child (or children) to get in a serious relationship with..

The dudes that are actively seeking out single mothers, however, are walking red flags... It's very likely that they're targeting the children, not the mothers.

Or they are literally f---boys who are going for the mother, so they can brag to their friends that they've been with MILF. I know people like that unfortunately...

I will probably watch everything at one go tomorrow, but seeing the results and some overall snippets from the show last night - no surprises and nothing too spectacular apart from the ME.

I can't share any opinion until I watch it though, so who knows, I might love it.

Watching the Blade trilogy again and boy, those movies still hold up mighty well. One of the best CBM trilogies out there imo.

There's a nice quote from Moore on the Promethea wikipedia page: "There are 1000 comic books on the shelves that don't contain a philosophy lecture and one that does. Isn't there room for that one?", which does make one to see more creators do comics like that. It was a very impressive comic since it was almost a monthly comic. A Disease of Language contains two interesting projects The Birth Caul, and Snakes and Ladders that I should read this year.

Truth be told - he's right. There should be a place for any type of comic book.

Is that one of his books books?

No, it's a collection of comic adaptations of Moore's spoken word performances.

BB

Sounds interesting and different. I wasn't aware that he had work of that type.
