Shut your Pie Hole!

Pushing Daisies lives no more on ABC. Long live Pushing Daisies via DC comics.

Pushing Daisies was one of my very favorite shows from the very beginning. Such a morbid subject but in a way that was enlightening and entertaining.
The offbeat stories, quirky characters and great photography made this one of my three hours of weekly t.v. A wonderfully written and produced dramedy  I have not seen the final three episodes yet, but I have added it to the "Summer of George" list I have going. While the comics definitely  won't be a replacement, it will be a supplement.
I am happy with any chance to spend more time at the Pie Hole.

411 from Fuller-
@ The screening of the final three  episodes of ABC's dark comedy series Pushing Daisies
series creator Bryan Fuller confirmed that the storyline of the show will continue in a comic book – something he had said he was attempting to do last fall, as news of the show's cancellation broke. Said Fuller at the event, "They'll be a comic book out this fall. I'm working with DC now."

Twelve issues are planned in the series, "and then in success, we would do more," he said.

Fuller said the comic book is in the works right now. "We've arced it out. The dangling threads from the series with Chuck's father and Ned's father and the pocket watches are all dealt with, not secondarily, but there's a whole new story that happens when there is a flash flood in the cemetery and all the bodies wash past Ned, and it's Ned versus a thousand corpses. That's the story of the comic book."
