I think a complete re-watching of The Clone Wars may be appropriate.

TNT Titans Team I Want to See

This is the lineup I'd like to see used for the upcoming TNT Titans television series. Some of these characters could prove impossible/difficult to use for various reasons but this team is assuming little to no restrictions when it comes to licenses and all that. For the sake of ease, the team would be Dick Grayson, Raven, Blue Beetle, Terra, Starfire, Beast Boy, Wendy, and Marvin after eliminating the choices that are unlikely.

List items

  • Nightwing has been confirmed to be appearing by Geoff Johns himself so this one is a no-brainer.

  • Raven is one of my favorite characters in comics. If she is written properly then she could be something special in live action.

  • With his involvement in the planned DCCU and reworked history in the New 52, I doubt this will happen but I prefer Cyborg to have at least started as a Titan.

  • Cassie was a breakout star of Geoff Johns Teen Titans run (one of my favorite runs ever) and

  • Jaime Reyes is a fun character with some Peter Parker type sensibilities that could make for a lot of interesting on-screen dynamics. Plus, if they have the budget to do it, his suit could look really awesome in live action.

  • Terra, in my vision, would start out as a member of the team before her betrayal was revealed as a part of the live action Judas Contract arc I hope to see. If it was up to me she would be on the team for the entire first season and at least half of season 2 before she betrays the Titans. This would allow for a larger impact to the reveal and gives the audience an emotional attachment to the events unfolding.

  • The prospect of a Blackfire arc is the only reason I include Starfire over Miss Martian. I envision a scenario where Starfire wouldn't be a part of the team until a season or two down the line.

  • Some comedy goes a long way for a show that will probably be prone to melodrama with a cast consisting of teenagers. Plus, this team is very power heavy and a couple less powerful characters would be needed to balance things out a bit.

  • Archers are cool. This is a fairly unlikely inclusion as he is already a supporting character in Arrow. I doubt we'll see two television versions of the same character (a bummer for a number of the iconic Titans villains)

  • A brother/sister duo that would act as non-combatant support members of the team. Wendy and Marvin would essentially act as the Caitlin/Cisco of the Titans.

Starfire an Raven have also been confirmed, so ya got Raven which is good. I also think that since Flash has a show and a movie, we could probably see Cyborg on the team too.

I'd also be ok with Wendy and Marvin, so long as they don't get weird or dark with them like they did in the TT comics.

@captainmarvel4ever: I think it's possible we could see Cyborg but my reasoning for doubting it has to do with them pushing him hard as a founder of the Justice League. Since none of the TV stuff will be connecting to the movies, having different versions of characters on TV and in the movies will likely become a regular thing as the DCCU expands. I just feel like DC won't allow Cyborg to be a member of the Titans when all Cyborg related media lately has been super Justice League oriented except for Teen Titans GO!. Maybe I'm just being too cynical here. I hope he appears in the show.

@syncig: True, but we just had Jeff Lemire's excellent Teen Titans Earth One series come out where he was the headliner, so it's clear DC still kinda sees him as both a Justice Leaguer and Titan. Plus like you said he's (sadly) a part of TTG, meaning that media outlets not run by DC are also still using him as a Titan. Point is I think he has a fair shot of being in the show.

I really hope the team is a lot like the New Teen Titans with a few additional recent members like Blue Beetle or Superboy. It'd be cool to see the more recent Titans in later episodes and just have them all start with the original members.

I also want it to be in its own universe.

@captainmarvel4ever: Yeah, that's true. There is definitely still a chance and I really do hope he is in the show. I don't hate him being on the Justice League but he is a Titan to me.

@syncig: I really like him being on the League, but at the same time he will always be a Titan. If they have them in the show that's great, because after Captain Marvel and Firestorm he's my favorite character, if not and they replace him, I think that's ok too, because one of the best things about the Titans is how they take characters you don't expect to like, and end up loving (unless Lobdell is writing them, then you end up hating them all).
