Death to the Imperialists!! Da!! As you may have already noticed about the title of this review, this is the Rocket Red issue. He's a scene stealer every time he shows up. That's why it's rather hard for me to hate on him. Nevertheless, I remain a little skeptical about the character because: Although it is certainly a guilty pleasure to laugh at Gavril, he seems primarily a character that plays to certain caricatures and stereotypes. I think I should probably mention first off that this is the first comic from this series that I've read, and I picked it up because I was a fan of these characters back in the 90s. This issue felt like a cross between Back to the Future part 2, Quantum Leap, the Watchmen, and a bit of Kingdom Come. There was a time I thought that time travel was a bit overdone and slightly gimmicky, but I don't think you can read a Captain Atom story and expect not to come across some time hopping. If y...
