The True Lost Gods

The True Lost Gods

The guardians of the lost lands, and protector against the threats of the dark ones, the True Lost Gods were normal men given godly form and domain over the mortal world. Sustaining their divine figure, containing their strength and will, they fed on the power of fighting. On the island, the true lost gods are addressed as the Elders or, more prominently, the Monks. Ultimately aligned, they plot and bicker with one another over who would be the true ruler of Toho mountain.

While most Peganans hold Mana-Yood-Sushai as the creator and destroyer of existence, Eru Iluvater was present before the act of being present. He understood within nothingness, when creation was formed. In loneliness, he created the Garden of Maturia, named after the turtle that held up the world. His pet, Maturia, is also a creator, being the peace for watcher of heaven. But, still lonely, Eru birthed the Ainur - angel-like elves of magic.

Before the Beginning, Fate and Chance, there was Mana-Yood-Sushai. The chief of the gods of Pegāna, who created the other gods and then fell asleep; after eating a golden apple. Making lkands out of his dreams, his slumber pumps the blood of existence.

The legend has it that when he wakes, he will "make again new gods and other worlds". In fact, it is suggested that he would wipe out all of the gods around him - which is the reason the gods put him to sleep. Though, they fear he would react in anger of their action, and kill them for putting him to sleep. Because of this, it is unknown if an infinite regression is the source of their entanglement. Men may pray to "all the gods but one"; only the gods themselves may pray to Mana-Yood-Sushai.
