Possible Reason 1: "You know what, there is a bigger story to tell. It would be unfair to condense down such an epic saga just for convenience sake."

Possible reason 2: "You know what, we can milk this more and get more money. So what if already decided on a well paced story before."

This arc started off strong... and I really want to like it. But im kind of losing interest
