A reasonable approximation for what an average tectonic plate weighs is in the neighborhood of 4.0678242e+22kg. If we assume he moved only 1% and some unknown factors moved the rest he would be moving roughly 4.0678242e+20kg. If we become even more lenient and assume that he moved 1% of 1% of 1% or a multiplying factor of .0001, he would still in effect be in charge of moving 4.0678242e+18. It took 10 tugboats to move the Norway natural gas drilling platform Troll A weighing in at roughly 1.1 million metric tons. Extrapolating this out if humanity had enough tugboats to move a tectonic plate weighing around this approximated average it would take roughly 3.698022e+14 tugboats to move the tectonic plate meaning there aren't enough people on the planet to captain every ship. Whilst I'm uncertain how much help he would have had moving a tectonic plate, I can be near 100% certain that humanity in the DCEU doesn't have the resources and means to help take the lion share of this weight assuming that their current level of technological advancement is similar to ours. Even if it happened off screen with a high confidence I can assume it would be reasonable to say he could probably pick up 1 million tons without really straining himself if this event really occurred. This raises two important questions, one who could have possibly helped him in any meaningful capacity? And two how reliable is the newspaper headline in the film that states this?

Does the super-girl cw show do a good characterization of superman? Considering everything we've seen of superman in the show's universe are his feats and overall strength what we expect them to be?

He'd obviously be deemed worthy to wield Mjolnir and be declared king of Asgard!

@infantfinite128, my question to you is how do we split hairs between whats necessary and whats excessive? If I mug someone does batman give me a different beating from a killer or drug dealer for instance? Although the answer to what happens to those who take my oil is always, we going to war!

These are interesting points, where batman draws the line in only limited by who's currently writing him. I wonder how we could compare the different versions of Batman in all forms of media ranging from comics, videos games, animated series and movies, ... etc. I think his use of force is also partly tied to how he perceives criminals humanity and I think this differentiates how he uses it from other hero's. He would act differently from superman, wonder woman dare devil, punisher or spider-man given the same choice on whether to apply force or not. What do you all think about this?

Given the success of the Arkham games for Batman it goes without saying that his games when done by the right publisher will work. That said what other superhero's or villians do you think deserve a chance a standalone treatment. Just to kick things of i'll throw in a few names to get things started:

Cyclops, Wonder woman, flash, green arrow, deadstroke

If anyone wants me to justify my decisions I'll be happy to provide reasons for the choices I made. What are everyone else's choices?

@rdclip: fear of physical pain is something that is probably true for the majority of criminal's but what about someone like Deathstroke or the Joker? Foes like these ones probably don't take pleasure is getting a beating but at the same time won't run away from one. Should he have a change in strategy for repeat offenders who don't appear to change after multiple beatings, such as crippling them to prevent further transgressions and instill more fear in the other criminals? One more thing I'm curious about that you said was from your last section in your post. Do you think he cares for the families of those he injures then? Such as if say the criminal had low job prospects, high amounts of debt and many mouths to feed, then someone like penguin comes along and offers a job that will pay for their expenses. With the primary income source taken out of the picture if leaves an already impoverished household in worse conditions. Does the well being of this family matter to him?

I think he also prepped more contingency measures after the end of the first injustice game and in many of the fights he wasn't entirely alone (Brianiac for instance) it could be assumed teamwork would have made those battle easier

@all-father what about when Bane broke Batman's back, if we assumed that he never regained the ability to walk would your logic then follow that Bane gave Bruce a second chance? Also depending on the nature of the injury at what point should he be held accountable for the assaults he commits?

@jloneblackheart just to play devil's advocate, are you saying then that Batman shouldn't do anything? Are there no citizen's arrest law's\self defense in place he would use to justify his actions? Also since he's regularly in contact with the commissioner and has access to extensive legal guidance would you say he conducts himself in a way to ensure a lasting conviction when he's makes a arrest?
