Also, something else that is kinda getting ignored is that we saw that Wells cares for Barry. He needs him for the future, he probably even made sure that Barry got the power in the first place.
If Wells is both yellow suits than future him could just assist him for whatever reason. Didn't look like the Reverse Flash had that thing attached to him.
