@mr_shazam0920: Yeah but comic Jason heals faster than the Hulk and is pretty much guaranteed kill proof. Did I mention that he is insanely strong in the comics? Like when he hit someone on top of the head then the head went through the body and out the anus strong? But yeah movie Jason would explode, and eventually show up again.

OP stated the Jason is the comic version. THAT Jason could arm it. I don't think he would snap half of life in the universe out of existence, but he may snap all camp counselor teens who are having sex out of existence....

Uber Jason is the comic book version of Jason X. Jason X movie would still win due to the nano tech healing. Not to mention overall durability and strength.

Uber Jason is the name of the cyborg form in general to seperate him from normal jason and the title of the movie without confusion.

Nope. Uber Jason (comic book) has way way way more crazy feats than Jason X movies. That is why comic version is Uber Jason.

@thehillbilly: "number one Jason is stupid" - He is not as dumb as you think, and it depends on what Jason you are talking about. Although I agree with you that Michael will murderstomp a mortal Freddy.

@pyrofn:

"He even describes how he would tower over the mountains after meeting his crown with the eternal flame." - "He literally describes that he is gonna drive the sword into Asgard." - "We clearly see him express joy, amusement, and anger in the movie." - "Surtur check marks everything on the list that is required to qualify for having a mind."

Any AI can do that. He is no computer but he is definitely a ancient catalyst.

"A robot doesn’t express feelings automatically. It doesn’t have an awareness of the experiences it encounters." - "Surtur is no different from them."

He is not a robot. Just an elemental with a fated purpose. Can he laugh and express human emotion? Sure but it not real just goal specific.

"this debate will always come down to speculation."

Pretty much what it comes down to.

"there is no reason to believe that Xavier’s telepathy could not work on Surtur"

Speculation see above.

@lan_fan:

"He was fated to destroy Asgard, sure, but Charles wasn't there, so who knows what would happen if he was there? You have a Galactus avatar, what if Galactus was there to stop Surtur? It depends on entirely the situation/scenario, right?"

Yes, I understand your point. But we can not compare Galactus to Xavier. And remember Surtur is plot driven, so he will destroy anything in his way to destroy Asgard. It is fated in the movie. Which opens a beehive of speculation. And fate ( and plots) appears very different in MCU than the comics which is a whole other debate.

"He talked with Thor on the opening scene, so he obviously has a working mind." True, but we can also make the speculation that this was also fated. Automations will respond to anything. We can also speculate that when he turned to mega Surtur that he indeed became a enhanced being. Meaning that he obviously gained more "powers". Now we are faced with what powers he gained. Did he just get taller? Hmmm speculation.

"Exactly my point." Agreed.

"Yeah, and you're speculating that he wouldn't get influenced by TP, so that kinda goes both ways doesn't it?" This gets us into a moot point.

"The most convincing argument so far, but being ancient doesn't really make his mind and consciousness different from regular humans or animals (unless shown otherwise). So I don't really see why Charles wouldn't affect him like he affected regular humans." Again another moot point. It alone boils down to opinion..again. We may have to speculate what beings that are strong enough to demolish Asgard in comparison to beings that are able to do so in the comics and are susceptible to TP. Although that again is another can of worms.
