It's not just you. Old school Deadpool was funny and competent. Current Deadpool acts like a buffoon. Movie Deadpool was a clear threat, despite his yammering.

I, for one, agree with @bl00dwerk: X-23 will always be a rip-off. No amount of costume changing will remedy that.

There might not be any delays in the schedule, but Lee's really phoning in that art.
