The owner of Big Belly Comics actually had this to say about it.

@toxin45: We're getting there. Kingsman, The Boys, Invincible to name a few.

@nightfang3: this is true. There's a lot of non-superhero comic book content out there and readers are loving it.

While the 'young' characters are a problem, the references to Logan and Last Stand aren't. Why? Deadpool knows he's in a movie. Which means he's seen Logan. The same way he's seen those dark DC movies he talked about.

Comic book fans now have an analogy for a virus spreading.

Why so many Jean haters?

It's not so much a hate for Jean as a hate for current Marvel staff.

I know plenty of great comic people who could tell a great story with Jean; Mark Waid, Mark Millar, Alan Moore but current Marvel writers are garbage

I can definitely agree on that. I miss the 90s x-men.

Honestly, I've abandoned Marvel and nearly all of DC. I check in now and then but I rarely read anything. I am into a lot of lesser known/lesser read comics.

If you have a chance, check out Invincible from Robert Kirkman, if you want a long series

If you want something short then I recommend Irredeemable and Incorruptible by Mark Waid or if you prefer Millar, then check out Kick-Ass, Nemesis, Super Crooks, Superior or MPH. Millar has a way of writing realistic people in super hero scenarios.

I've read all of those and I second their recommendations.

Glad she's back. She can start by slapping young Jean across the face.

I used to love this show. But they really screwed fans over with the ending to season 10. And that was before they were even thinking about an 11th season.

@fesak: it's a comic book. Not everything has to be plausible.
