Agreed <3. I like the idea of seeing more of Spider-Powered!MJ, as that was one of the things I liked from the original Spider Island arc. Here's hoping she has a prominent role in this story, as I'd love to see her out there kicking copious amounts of derriere with Flash's resistance force.

Ever since I saw the cover that's currently being used as the main image on the character wiki, I've been interested in reading more about Lady Weeds as the Avatar of The Metal/Rithm. For some reason, I like the idea that technology and cybernetics have gained enough influence in the world to warrant the formation of a whole new force of supernatural power that can stand as a rival to that of The Green, The Red, The Clear, The Grey, and The Rot. Does any one know the issue number of the first appearance of The Metal/Rithm, as well as the issue where Lady Weeds was transformed into The Machine Queen?

@boschepg: I'm not totally 100% sure what you're going for with the first bullet point there boschePG, but if I'm understanding it right, you're wondering if they can be from various points in the Marvel Universe? If they can just be experiencing things like the Secret War, the Annihilation Wave, etc, even though they've already passed in our timeline? If that'st the case, then sure, that would totally work.

Also, I would add DC or manga characters, but part of me feels like that would get kinda confusing after a while, even though Marvel and DC have met in the past (DC Vs Marvel as one such example; P.S. I still ship Tim Drake and Jubilee, thanks to that event, lol :P).

@zearing Sounds good, plus I haven't done much in the vein of RPing here either, so you're in good company, my friend :D. Covers tech, energy, and telepathy, you say? Interesting... Anybody we know in particular?

On a separate note, sorry I haven't replied here in a couple of days gang. I kinda got sidetracked with stuff IRL.

People who are dismissing The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl simply because of the artwork seriously don't know what they're missing (i.e. everything, because this series rocks). The first issue was a lot of fun, well-written, and enjoyable overall. So what if the artstyle is unconventional? It may take a while, but you get used to it, and realize that it actually kinda fits Doreen's style of humor and personality. Squirrel Girl is all about having fun and enjoying comics as something that can make you smile and laugh, about showing that comics don't have to be all grimdark and "edgy" to speak to/draw an audience. What's wrong with fun and silliness once in a while? I'm sure the book is going to have major conflict at some point, but even then I doubt it will put too big a damper on things. Plus, it does a good job of showing superhumans acting human, trying to have a life outside heroics and succeeding, and not over-dramatizing things and bemoaning how "everything is just so hard" (lookin' at you, Parker).

Something I proposed on the "Official RPG Ideas Thread" that I thought I'd make its own thread for the sake of seeing just who all might be interested in this idea. I already know one person is, but I wanted to see if anyone else was too.

Restating the premise from the orignal post, the idea is a six man team of Exiles, like in the original series, being sent by the Timebroker to an alternate universe' Wakanda, with the task of unseating its ruler: The Shadow King. In this world, early on in his marriage to Storm, Black Panther was possessed by Amahl Farouk so completely that nothing remains of T'Challa's psyche. Using Wakanda's futuristic technologies, Shadow King enhanced his psychic abilities to new levels, completely dominating Ororo's mind. He then used her powers to seal off Wakanda and it's neighboring nations from the rest of the world in an impenetrable dome of hostile weather, ensuring that his iron-fisted rule would not be challenged.

As Exiles, your mission will be to infiltrate Wakanda, evade the Shadow King's forces and whatever surprises he may have in store for you, free Storm from his control if possible, and most importantly, end Amahl's reign of terror... By whatever means necessary.

The Team.

Consisting of the players' reimaginations of pre-existing Marvel heroes & villains, the team needs to be six men (& women) strong, with various skill sets between them that make them adaptable to whatever situation they may face on their missions. This doesn't necessarily have to be how the line-up can turn out, but optimially, the team should have:

- A leader, someone experienced with being part of at team and strategizing under fire.
- A magic specialist.
- Someone who knows their tech, a hacker, mechanist, inventor, etc.
- A stealth specialist, someone who can get into and out of places without being easily detected.
- Muscle, brawn, someone who can dominate a fight and take damage (i.e. a tank).
- An energy powerhouse, a person we can rely on for fly-by strikes and damage, but not so overpowered that they plow through the mission with ease (essentially, no god-modes or su/stu characters).

Again, this doesn't have to be the set criteria for the team, seeing as this sort of specialization rarely showed up in the initial Exiles series. I should note though, that it would be beneficial for the team to have a telepath on this mission, seeing as they're going up against a psychic heavyweight like the Shadow King and all.

Anyhow, that's the primary idea for the moment. Sound like soemthing you guys might be interested in trying out? Again, this is my first time trying my hand at making one of these campaigns (and/or, being a "DM," if you will), so I'm not sure how well this will all work out. I'm willing to hand the reins over to a more experienced person for the finer details of the campaign though, if need be, so there's that. Anyhow, feel free to let me know what you guys think of this idea. I look forward to your feedback.

I kinda got RPG fever recently, so I thought I might put my idea out here and see who might be interested in such a thing. I was thinking of starting an Exiles RPG, with there being a Timebroker, the standard six member team, and a mission to take care of in a different reality. You know, your basic Exiles story. The first campaign idea I had in mind was the team being sent to take down the Shadow King in a world where he took possession of Black Panther's body and began an iron-fisted rule of Wakanda, taking control of Storm as well, so as to use her weather manipulation abilities to isolate the nation from the rest of the world in a cloud-like dome of hostile weather.

The idea was that everyone involved would make their version of a preexisting Marvel hero/heroine/villain/villainess (no mary/marty/gary stus though) to make up the six-man team or play one of the "boss" characters like Shadow King, Brainwashed!Storm, Shuri, or M'Baku the Man-Ape. The creator/DM (or whatever you call the one creating scenarios; I've been out of the loop for a while now), would be the Timebroker and/or Shadow King, on top of the usual task of creating instances for the team to face.

I've never really been the creator of an RPG though, so this was something I thought I would propose for fun. Again, just to see who was interested. I could give it a shot and try making this work, or someone with more experience could take the reins, and I'd be happy to tag along as a member of the team sent in to bring Shadow King down. Either option is fine by me, just so long as people like the idea and think that it would be something fun to do :).
