What you say is not exactly true. I doubt we would hand everybody a gun and be like "have fun". It would be just like getting a concealed handgun license. You have to pay money, you have to go through training, background check, ect ect. How many shooting have you heard about that came from somebody with a CHG license? That's how many you'll hear about in college from somebody with a CHG license.
A few days ago I finally got my order of all 4 Slapstick comics. They are HILARIOUS. I love this guy as much as Deadpool. And he isn't exactly an important character just YET. In some Initiative comics, he's not even listed. But his appearance in several of them will hopefully mark the beginning of more Slapstick. And yeah, even though the brutal beating was a tad out of character, it's believable. He was really close with the New Warriors, and Gauntlet wouldn't stop dissing them, so it's believable.
I heard the only reason Deadpool's thoughtboxes and speech bubbles are because he has a very weird voice.
What is his voice supposed to sound like? I know it's husky like Demi Moore. But does it sound just like Demi Moore? In Marvel Ultimate Alliance, is the voice Deadpool have there, accurate of how his voice is supposed to sound?
I would LOVE some Deadpool gear. In one of the comics he said he had a shirt, but I can't seem to find it online. Same with a plush doll.
I would love some Deadpool shirts, or outfit. I suppose if I had the skills I could substitute spandex with these "wicker" shirts. But my figure isn't to the correct ahem physique, yet.

Yeah, I hate fake breasts in real life, and I hate fake breasts in comics/cartoons.

I agree, killing off great characters is just stupid and counter-intuitive in my eyes, some deaths are needed to make a compelling story or even as part of an origin to explain why someone would wear a costume and spend his/her life fighting crime. But some writers just abuse it because they know they can just bring them back."
