My Favorite Characters in Comics
Some of my favorite characters in no particular order (it started in an order, but then I just kept adding stuff).

The world's greatest detective and the toughest man in comics.
He's the best there is at what he does, but what he does isn't very nice.
What's not to love about a smart-alec going around beating up criminals?
My favorite character from the Buffyverse.
Joss Whedon just knows how to write cool vampires.
A superhero that I've only recently started reading about. I love both of Del Toro's Hellboy movies as well as the handful of Mignola's comics that I've read.
Another superhero that I've started to pay attention to only recently. I love both David Tennant's and Matt Smith's tenures as the Doctor and hope that the latter will remain the Doctor for a long time to come. I don't actually collect his comics, but I love the show.
She saved the world. A lot.
Willow is a cool witch.
One of the best anti-heroes in television history. I loved the whole "The father will kill the son" story arc.
Kitty Pryde may not have the coolest powers of all the mutants, but she tends to be one of the most interesting characters to read about. She's at her best in Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men.
Nightcrawler is just plain awesome.
Colossus is also awesome. (Two words: fastball special)
Kyle was the Green Lantern when I first started collecting comics. I've always found that Kyle is a bit more relatable than Hal, so when asked who my favorite Green Lantern is, I have to give Kyle a slight edge...
...though Hal Jordan is a close second.
He was a very good Robin, as well as a very good Batman, but I like him best as Nightwing.
My favorite Batgirl.
My second favorite Batgirl.
I love how his character has progressed under the guise of Red Robin (even if that name is ridiculous).
Terry is the third best Batman ever. I love the old cartoon show Batman Beyond and the movie Return of the Joker. The recent Batman Beyond mini-series (Batman Beyond: Hush Beyond, which came out in Fall 2010) is also pretty good, but I was disappointed in the ongoing series that it spawned.
I particularly love how her character has been portrayed in what I have read of Uncanny X-Force (though unfortunately I've fallen behind in that series, but I'm planning on picking up the trades when I can).
Superman is the most powerful superhero that there is, and when he has a talented writer behind him he can have some of the most entertaining stories in comics. However, most of his stories end up being very stale and boring due to both his seemingly limitless power and his boy scout nature.
I didn't collect very many of his comics, but I've always liked this character. I was one of the few fans of his short-lived cartoon series back in the late 90s or early 2000s (whenever it aired).
I enjoyed her run as Batgirl too.
I'm most familiar with the version from the 90s cartoon, which is the version I like best.
I haven't read much with her in it, but she seems to be one of the more interesting characters when she is in a story that I'm reading.
Probably my favorite character to have been created within the past decade (approximately).
I've only recently become acquainted with this character through Justice League Dark and I, Vampire, but I find his character really interesting and intend to check out other trades that feature him.
