I have no stake whatsoever in the movie or book franchise since I haven't read or watched any of it because it doesn't interest me, but I was going through movie stuff on the internet and this made me laugh.

Damn it, Lindy West, you are so scathing.

The idea of Dreadnaught being married or even considering such an insipid emotion as love as valuable at all is so inconceivably foreign to me that, aside from say "congratulations!", I can only sit at my computer screen with my mouth agape.

CONGRATULATIONS

Random gameplay videos do not equate to anything worth any substance whatsoever in such a battle as this.

Or else, y'know, I'd talk about how when Sagat beats somebody with his Ultra, the entire goddamn screen turns all yellow and orange, WHICH CLEARLY SIGNIFIES HIS DOMINION OVER THE SUN AND HOW POWERFUL HE MUST BE IN ORDER TO DO THAT LIKE THE REST OF THE SF CAST.

I think it's supposed to be based on Frank Miller's mini, but I could be mistaken.

I think it'll come out around the same time as the Avengers, but that's just speculation on my part.

" Never read the book. Is it that good? "

It's reaaaaaallly good.

Really good.

Just don't try and make sense of it too much, it's pretty random and not really meant to be taken seriously. Even if you don't like the first book, it's generally regarded that the series gets better as it goes along so there's been more than one account of people hating the first book and then winding up really enjoying the second. Hell, it's my favourite comic series of all-time!

That being said, there is a pretty good amount of folks who despise the series, but from what I've seen there's generally more fans than haters.

"but then there was Waterworld...and the Postman "
This is true.

Still, Dances With Wolves was realllly good and Untouchables was reaaaaaallly good too (I also must admit to enjoying Mr. Brooks), so I can overlook the numerous missteps on his part.

Seriously though, how is Costner overrated? Most everybody makes fun and him and nowadays he stars in direct-to-dvd flicks like The New Daughter (which, for a direct-to-dvd release, was actually kinda decent).

"While we have amazing male actors like Tom Hanks and Benicio Del Toro, lets be honest, these are not good looking men."
I dunno man, I know of a few ladies that find both of those men to be quite attractive.

It absolutely blows my mind that the "stark, existential horror of Honest Ed's" is a real place. I thought O'Malley just made a store up (I now that he did go around and take photos of places for reference and stuff though. I believe he said that in the first book).

I must now go to Toronto, and in the near future.
