Creates one to instantly block a incoming and fatal blow to Xavier's daughter Xandra. Coincidently this is also the same instance where Xandra becomes a lifelong fangirl of Storm. Then proceeds to one shot the threat after Scott got KOed by a blow to the head and Jean was doing........something.

I'm old and bitter. I've learned a long time ago to not give 2 rats asses what writers say and preach in interviews but rather what they show me on paper in the book. Even if they have the best of intentions for Storm all it takes is a higher up to slap the idea down.

If you think I'm lying just look at her last solo STORM. We were promised 12 issues but they cut it back to 11 due to that whole tragic Secret War fuckery. And clearly they told Mr. Pakk to keep the story small and contained because..................Kenji as the ultimate villain? More Morlock drama........ chile' please...........!

Bless him though because he did give us some kick ass feats in damn near every issue so he has my favor for that.

She has to be Regent. Otherwise I can't fathom what in the Hell these 'big plans' for her were/are. Unless we were supposed to be infinitely grateful about what she did on Mars? Hopefully Sword #6 -drops June 26th- gives us all the Storm answers we seek.

Now let's just hope this becomes a standard part of her arsenal like it should have been for decades!

And now that I'm thinking about it @thunderbolt30 "predicted" Storm could do this years ago in the original Thermodynamics thread.

Hmm definitely an EM shield. As cool as it would look visually I don't know if Storm could pull off that particular trick or if she can at least not to the level where she could bare handed stop the hammer.

Although I could see her enhancing her punches and kicks with miniature pressure domes. Sorta like how Wolverine's natural blows are enhanced due to the extra weight of his Adamantium skeleton. She couldn't go toe to toe with someone like Hulk but I could definitely see her punching down a brick wall or something along those lines.

Agreed! But the feat aside this was a clear jumping off point for whatever plans they have for Storm.
