Oh lord are we stills trying to imply that Jean cant sit with the other girls when she has clearly earned her seat at the table?

And like Storm wouldn't fry a bitch who gave Jean side eye anyways. #TheSisterhood #YouWillNotTouchHer

@son_of_storm: @butterflykyss: Very cool showing in Shuri today. Okorafor handles Storm, Shuri and Okoye quite nicely (we need an all black female superhero team under her pen). I think this is her 3rd time breaking through a shield:

- Overwhelmed the DR with a concentrated blast of super-heated plasma

- Breached Fitzroy's defensive shield around his base (same issue where she created the air pressure dome)

- Broke through the plasma shield of this space grasshopper alien

Agreed. And feats are feats. But that artist needs to go if only for the sake of my sanity lmao.

@son_of_storm: do you think it was lightning riding or her just shooting lightning from her body as she flying on wind? also I agree that I would love for her to become a pure elemental being.

Honestly with the way the art is it could be either one.

It's just I find it rather odd that this book has consistently showed Storm glowing every time she's used her powers. I can understand the artist wanting to be 'extra' but if it's not suppose to mean anything don't add it especially if the writer doesn't make the character have a direct reference to it. We literally have decades worth of contest showing Storm channeling lightning and not glowing like she's shown here. She's not the Human Torch for pete's sake.

I actually thought she was becoming an elemental in issue 2 and it is very interesting how the artist is choosing to draw her. I'm on the side who thinks it may be something more as you are saying but I wish the narrator/writer would make it clear what is going on. and lolol at your last statement.

Exactly. If Storm is shifting in and out of some new type of elemental form then by all means showcase that. Have her do something that makes it indisputable that she's no longer flesh and blood. Whatever that may be I'll leave it up to the writer. And at this point whether it's from her mutant powers or the divinity she's unlocked it should still be directly showcased and explained.

All this lightning riding in Shuri is nice and all but an outright energy form would be much appreciated at this point.

Storm's ascension into godhood was finally referenced in the X-men books after months of being blatantly ignored(along with attempts to retcon). Storm received a big moment in Uncanny X-men #10 where she unleashed a powerful attack on Nate Grey(X-man), who at the time was fused with Legion. This was powerful enough to devastate him so that the 7 telepaths present(with their combined power) could finally break through to his mind and unfuse them.

The battle involved some of mutant's biggest powerhouses, such as Apocalypse, Magneto, Iceman, Jean, Meggan, Dazzler and Polaris, and indicated Storm was the only one powerful enough to affect him on this level.

She was also turned into a horsemen by X-man/Legion prior to this, and it was indicated that the fight could not be won unless Storm was brought back to their side.

She also easily defeated a horsemen Magneto. Who later needed to be revived by X-man's power.

Writers confirmed her status on twitter, where it was verified that they were acknowledging her new developments from the Black Panther books.

@son_of_storm: lmao Spot on critiques of their facial expressioms. Storm’s shit talker face lol...

Liefield’s art was always a mixed bag for me. The premise sounds a bit....convoluted, even for a comic book. But I am curious if/what Storm’s role will be.

Me and you both lol.

This whole image just looks like trash honestly.

Beast looks like he's experience his first prostate exam.

Cable is about two seconds away from shattering his teeth

Storm looks like a shit talker who's suddenly clueless when the person she was talking shit about is knocking on her door.

And Wolverine is well... Wolverine.

So Deadpool had a crazed fanboy who snuck into Stark towers to get himself implanted with a chest piece and after that was done he waltzed into the Hellfire Club to steal Emma's helmet. And clearly it's now up to Wolverine and his sidekicks to track down the thief.
