According to the actors, Spider-Man: Far From Home will be much different than we think.

According to them, Mysterio will be a hero and the villains will be "Elementals". However, that doesn't sound right at all. It could be...misdirection.

So, these "Elementals", first of all, are probably just a little nickname they made up for Hydro-Man and Molten Man, who were recently confirmed to be in the film by leaked LEGO sets. As for Mysterio, he probably isn't a hero at all. Here's my theory.

My theory is that Mysterio poses as a hero throughout much of the movie. After all, he's not called the "master of illusion" for nothing. He makes himself seem heroic by taking down criminals like Hydro-Man, Molten Man, Vulture and Scorpion, while he in fact is responsible for them being out of jail. The abundance of villains is also a backdoor to set up the Sinister Six for the third MCU Spider-Man movie, or possibly a movie of their own.
