Why "Logan" may no longer be canon after the events of "Deadpool 2"

Morning, folks! It's me again. So, let's get to the point: Logan won't be canon after Deadpool 2, and here's why.

Cable, the time-traveling mutant.
Cable, the time-traveling mutant.

So, in a nutshell, Cable. Cable, in the comics, is actually the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey, who was sent to the future as a baby in order to cure the techno-organic virus given to him by Mister Sinister. Later, he came back to the present day and founded X-Force. So Cable, despite speculation, is not the villain of Deadpool 2. Sure, there might be a misunderstanding between him and Deadpool, but Cable is likely on the right side of the equation. So, here's what he's doing. The kid in the trailer, who is wearing a power-dampening neck brace, is likely a mutant. A mutant who could possibly be the cause of Logan's dystopian future. So, in Logan, the dystopia is likely caused by a major event that involves mutants. It's possible the kid is very powerful, and may commit an act of terror that causes people to hate mutants, and therefore the aforementioned dystopia. So, Cable's trying to prevent the kid from committing that act in order to keep mutants safe. So, if Cable succeeds, the future crisis of "Logan" will be averted.

My Idea for New Comics: The Avengers

So, guys, here's my idea for my "New Marvel Universe" incarnation of the Avengers. (See: My Ideas for a New Marvel Universe). Enjoy!

New Origins

Nick Fury, director of SHIELD, has been keeping tabs on heroes such as Iron Man, Hulk and Thor for the past few years. Following the events of the Iron Monger attack, the Abomination vs. Hulk battle and the Frost Giant invasion, he has decided to put together a team to combat those threats, and has recently revived Captain America from being frozen in ice. Nick Fury's chosen roster is Tony Stark/Iron Man, Steve Rogers/Captain America, Bruce Banner, Thor, Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow. When Loki attacks a Latverian SHIELD facility, he steals the Tesseract from Doctor Victor Von Doom, who accidentally causes an explosion of Tesseract energy to hit him, which scars him, puts him in a coma. Fury assembles the team, but Loki attacks Banner and uses his staff to turn him into the Hulk. Then Loki summons his army of Chitauri aliens, who begin laying waste to New York. To combat the aliens, Fury sends Stark, Rogers, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye, while he sends Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Giant-Man (Hank Pym) and Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) to handle Hulk. Long story short, they break the spell Loki placed on Hulk, and use the Tesseract to annihilate the Chituari, and Loki is imprisoned in Asgard. The Avengers are hailed as heroes, they set up shop in Stark Tower, and a statue of them is built outside the white house. In a "post-credits" scene, Victor's scarred body begins to glow green.

Ultron

In the present day, set more than two years after New Origins: The Avengers, one year after New Origins: The Fantastic Four, six months after the beginning of New Comics: The X-Men and around the same time as New Origins: Spider-Man, The Avengers' lineup is the same. When Carl Creel, the Absorbing Man attempts to use the Tesseract, Hank Pym and Iron Man send their newest creation, the robotic Ultron, to stop him. However, Ultron nearly kills Creel and they decide to shut Ultron down after apprehending Creel.

My ideas for a new Marvel Universe

So lately, I've realized something. The Marvel Universe is getting too complicated. "Fresh Start" seems to be trying to help with that, though it seems like more of the same. So, here's some ideas for an alternate continuity, similar to the Main Universe as well as the MCU and Ultimate Universe.

Realistic, relatable characters

I want each comic to feel like you're experiencing it. That means the characters will look and be realistic - in costumes, personality, and everything else.

Teenage Spider-Man

Does this really need explanation? Everybody knows Peter Parker is at his best when he's 15 years old. Keep him young for as long as possible. These comics, despite being realistic, shouldn't have to happen in real time.

Make the X-Men and Fantastic Four important again, but still use the Avengers, Guardians, Inhumans and Defenders

Marvel needs to make this universe like the MCU would be if the X-Men and Fantastic Four had been in it for longer. There'll be plenty of references in each series to different characters and teams.

The Comic Series' Names

I want the main series to start with the new origins series, which will be New Origins: Spider-Man, New Origins: Iron Man, New Origins: Hulk, New Origins: Thor, New Origins: The Avengers, New Origins: The X-Men and New Origins: The Fantastic Four. Those will be miniseries to introduce the main characters. Then there will be New Comics: The Avengers, New Comics: Spider-Man, New Comics: Captain America, New Comics: Iron Man, New Comics: Fantastic Four and New Comics: The X-Men. The Guardians of the Galaxy series will come later, as will a New Comics: Defenders series will arrive, which will focus on Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil and other heroes, and climax with them and other heroes forming a team together. There will also be miniseries that focus on Doctor Strange, Wolverine, Hulk and maybe even Deadpool. There will also be team-ups and versus crossovers, with Thor and Hulk series sometimes coming for a limited time.

So there's my ideas. Comment if you like or dislike them!

A few ways Avengers: Infinity War could FAIL!

No Caption Provided

'Sup, guys?

Anyway, it's me again. And with the new trailer and poster for Avengers: Infinity War, I'm looking forward to the movie, but I've also been thinking of some things that could be its downfall. So here they are.

A Messy Plot

It's no secret that Avengers: Infinity War will have a plot that determines the future of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. But that means that the plot could be a hit-or-miss. It has been said that Infinity War will "pay off every major MCU thread and tease", which could mean that too many subplots could be intertwined into the movie.

Too Much Hype

People have been looking forward to Infinity War for years now. And while it's likely to at least be good, it could disappoint fans, similar to Star Wars: The Last Jedi (which I still loved, by the way).

Style Over Substance

A Wrinkle in Time had this problem when it was released a few weeks ago. Visually, it is said to have been entertaining, but the plot is nothing new. Infinity could have that same problem. The movie promises stunning visuals, but it's possible that under it may lie a much thinner product.

And finally, the most likely one.

Too Many Characters

Infinity War will not only include the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange and Spider-Man, but also an overwhelming climax of 40 superheroes. This could overstuff the movie and, ultimately, blow it up. This would be the Ultimate MCU downfall, and keep in mind, that's what AGE OF ULTRON was criticized for, and it didn't even have that many characters. All we have to do is hope and pray that the Russo Bros. know their onions, and that won't be a problem.

What do you think? Comment below.

ENIGMA: My pitch for an original Superhero Movie

Hey guys, it's me again. So, I've got a cool idea: an original superhero film. And here's my story for it.

Raymond Jonathan "R.J." Martin is a teenaged black boy whose parents disappeared when he was a child, and he was adopted by John and Leslie Martin, two white Christian outreach missionaries, and their daughter, Kendall, who is slightly older than RJ. As a child, RJ shows signs of superior intelligence and athleticism, and at age 12 is placed in a school for the gifted, where he meets his future best-friend, white kid named Darren Allman.

We now fast-forward to when RJ, who is 15 years old. His relationship with his parents isn't what it used to be. They love him and all, but he's been more lazy about his grades and they are concerned about him. One night, his parents leave on a mission trip, which is planned to be for a week, while Kendall goes to a friend's house for the night. RJ has never been allowed to go to parties due to his family's values, but he calls Darren and informs him that he'll be going to one after all. When Darren arrives, he notices the abundance of alcohol, drugs and deviancy, and begins to understand why his parents didn't want him to go. While hanging out with Darren, he begins to feel light-headed and tries to walk outside for some fresh air. On his way out, he passes out cold, and Darren calls an ambulance.

Over a month later, RJ wakes up in a hospital bed. He is informed by the doctors that his vitals were going crazy that whole time, and he flatlined several times, essentially dying and coming back to life several times during his coma. The doctors have no idea what happened to him, but have determined that he's now healthy enough to be released.

Over the course of the next day, RJ discovers that he has some sort of powers, all of which, including super-speed and strength, seem to have a connotation with kinetic energy. He also hears reports of a mysterious powered killer committing gruesome murders in the city. He realizes he's been given his powers for a reason, and goes after the killer, wearing a ski mask to conceal his identity.

RJ finds the killer due to a tip from a street criminal, and discovers that the killer is a mysterious man in a red mask and black hooded suit who calls himself "The Red Death". Red Death's powers give him the ability to literally suck someone's life force. RJ discovers that he is immune to Red Death's powers, and turns him in to the police after defeating him. The police then transfer Red Death, who is in fact a teenager, to the Department of Super-Human Affairs, who interrogate him. Red Death says that "The Professor" said that he'd cure his powers if he used them to kill certain people.

RJ tells Darren about his powers, and Darren helps design a costume for him. They use a silver-and-black hooded jumpsuit and a pair of goggles with blue lenses, which seem to help him focus his power, which manifests by glowing blue. Darren, who is ecstatic about being a "sidekick", sets up a matrix in his parents' basement which allows him to tap into security cameras and police scanners.

When RJ goes out to fight crime, he is captured by the Department of Super-Human Affairs, who arrest him for "taking justice into his own hands". While being interrogated, the director of the organization, Meryl Johns, informs RJ that they need his help to deal with some of the superhumans, which. as Johns says, all surfaced around the same time that he fell into his coma. In exchange for his help, they will keep his identity a secret from his friends and family.

RJ is assigned to attack a military base that Johns says is "being held hostage".

The Ultimate Universe - What it is and why I'm not happy Marvel is bringing it back

The Ultimate Universe returns at the end of Spider-Men II, with an Ultimates team including Spider-Man, Captain America, Ironheart, Thor, Giant-Man, Hulk, Human Torch and Spider-Woman
The Ultimate Universe returns at the end of Spider-Men II, with an Ultimates team including Spider-Man, Captain America, Ironheart, Thor, Giant-Man, Hulk, Human Torch and Spider-Woman

The Ultimate Universe is officially back in the comics. But I didn't want it to return. Here's why.

First, we've gotta delve into the history of the universe. In 2000, Marvel came up with a good idea: to create a universe less complicated than Earth-616 that would make it easier for readers to start reading Marvel Comics without having to read decades worth of books. It started out great, with Ultimate Spider-Man, one of my favorite series of all time. They then introduced the Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Fantastic Four and the Ultimates, the Ultimate Universe's version of the Avengers. But as a few years went by, it became just as complicated as Earth-616, the main Marvel Universe. So then, Marvel unleashed an unspeakable horror upon comic books.

No Caption Provided

Ultimatum was a mess. In this event, Magneto and the Brotherhood of Mutants unleashed an attack on the world, flooding cities and killing many innocents. But it also killed off the likes of Wolverine, Hank Pym, The Wasp, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Cyclops, Doctor Doom and many others as well as Magneto himself. The event was delivered in an over-the-top, graphic style that involved possibly the most infamous panel in Marvel history: Blob eating Wasp. I refuse to post that image, so if you want to see it, then look it up yourself, you sick weirdo.

Eventually after Ultimatum, Ultimate Marvel was complicated once again, and still almost as hard to follow as the main universe. In 2015, it was destroyed as part of "Secret Wars" with Miles Morales being one of the few survivors. I though that was it, but it wasn't. At the end of 2017, Marvel brought it back. Do we really need more complicated storylines from that dumb universe? Let me know in the comments.

Black Panther Movie Review

No Caption Provided

Stars: 9/10

First, let me say this: Black Panther is a masterpiece, and has completely shattered every mold of superhero films. The characters, plot, and everything conceivable was there, and it was there in a big way. It's just as good as everyone says, if not better.

SPOILERS AHEAD

The Plot

The plot was very interesting, and very unique. It's about a king who also serves as protector of Wakanda, a techno-organic country that is basically paradise. To take his father's place and stay king, he needs to battle a man who has big motivations and a high kill count literally engraved on his skin. That's a plot no Marvel movie has ever had anything like, and it plays out very well without feeling rushed.

The Characters

T'Challa/Black Panther himself is almost like a mashup of Batman (specifically the Chris Nolan version) and Simba from Lion King. He has the duty of protecting his country while becoming its new king as well. Chadwick Boseman delivers his performance exceptionally, and I'd almost call him the black Christian Bale. The supporting cast, including his super-smart little sister Shuri, his guards and servants all perform well and add to the storyline, rather than just hanging in the background. The villain, Erik Killmonger, is complex. He is a black man who grew up feeling oppressed by society, and now decides that he wants to start a movement to help his fellow people of color rise against their oppressors. The son of a Wakandan, he now decides that he must take over Wakanda and use its resources to start World War III, and he does a good job of manipulating Klaue before killing him and using his murder to earn the people's sympathies. Michael B. Jordan bounces back nicely from Fantastic Four *shudders* and his character is almost like a black version of Bane. And when Killmonger dies, he seems to become more sympathetic and remorseful of his actions. The characters are one of the best things about this film.

Visually

The film is pleasing to the eyes, and the CG is incredibly made. I also love the story at the beginning, which is one of the best-put-together scenes I have seen in a film.

Conclusion

Black Panther is absolutely incredible. Avengers is still a little bit better, but Black Panther shows how capable Marvel still is of making great films. I absolutely recommend this film to anyone who loves comic books or a good action/superhero film.

The Best Avengers Team Yet?

Thor, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Black Panther, Iron Man, She-Hulk, Doctor Strange and Ghost Rider on the cover of Avengers #1 (May 2018)
Thor, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Black Panther, Iron Man, She-Hulk, Doctor Strange and Ghost Rider on the cover of Avengers #1 (May 2018)

Marvel has released its new peeks at its latest relaunch: "Fresh Start". On the cover of Avengers #1, we see an extremely solid cast of heroes, with the original Thor, Captain America and Iron Man returning to the fold. In addition, we also see Captain Marvel, Black Panther, She-Hulk, Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes) and Doctor Strange. To me, this lineup seems almost a little overpowered, seeing as its three main members are present, along with some of the best-known characters in comics right now. While this lineup is awesome, I feel it either needs more or less characters. What do you think?

New Marvel TV Show? Here's my pitch.

Special Forces: A Marvel TV Series
Special Forces: A Marvel TV Series

So, the TV Series will be called Special Forces. It will tell the story of what's basically an Avengers B-Team, which I think is the best way to incorporate unused Marvel characters. The team will be led by Hawkeye, who will have come out of retirement for about the fourth time to lead a special new team that consists of himself, She-Hulk, Hercules, Namor, Blade, Crystal, Machine Man, Monica Rambeau, Moon Knight, Goliath and Quake to take on special missions. Tell me what you think!

Marvel was setting up Hulk's return before they even killed him off!

The IMMORTAL Hulk!

In Avengers: No Surrender, Marvel teased Hulk's return. But that was already being set up as far back as Civil War II.

Hulk
Hulk "dies" in Civil War II

In Civil War II, the Avengers fought for custody of a young Inhuman named Ulysses. Ulysses predicted that Bruce Banner would turn into the Hulk once again, and this time threaten all of humanity. Notice that in Ulysses' vision, like in the "No Surrender" teasers, Hulk's eyes were glowing green. When Tony Stark and Carol Danvers go to confront Banner, he says that he's been doing experiments on himself in order to "keep the Hulk away". When Bruce nearly turns into the Hulk again, Hawkeye shoots him, which is what Banner told him to do if he ever showed signs of turning into the Hulk again. But what if his experiments...actually made the Hulk immortal?

A familiar set of teeth at the end of Avengers #680
A familiar set of teeth at the end of Avengers #680

At the end of Avengers #680, we see a cave in the midst of wreckage, possibly left over from "Secret Empire". We then see boxes of dialogue, saying cryptic things like "help...I'm stuck down here...with him...what if I can't die...what if HE can't?" We then see the familiar grin of the Incredible (and possibly now "Immortal") Hulk.

So, in conclusion, what if Banner's experiments on his DNA, trying to kill the Hulk...only made the Hulk STRONGER?
