@socajunkie: I mean that's impressive, and I remember that, but breaking a human neck the way John did would require at the very least 1000 pounds of force.
The neck snap is still nothing compared to Hobbs' helicopter feat.
Regardless John is significantly faster, regardless how the choreography looks, he and Caine are still arrow timers, Caine especially since he dodged them off of sound alone.
John's combat speed is not significantly above Dom's, real life humans have also arrow timed so while it is impressive, it doesn't put John's reaction time so far above Dom to give a meaningful advantage- though yes, doing it based on sound alone is very impressive. We've seen less physically imposing and slower characters like Viggo and Killa tag John so he's not untouchable.
To top it off, in both fighting Killa and Chidi, John had already gone through a gauntlet of fighting for days with no rest as he was chased by everyone.
True, he'd be in a nerfed state, exactly how nerfed though is too speculative for my liking. The freshest/most battle tested John to scale from would be, what? JW3 John in the library right before he kills Earnest, I'd wager.
John killed over 400 people in the span of 2 weeks with little to no rest in between.
Yep, insane conditioning.
John is also a much more recourseful and brutal fighter, if Dom goes for a choke, John is definitely sticking his finger in his eye.
Dom is strong enough crush John's windpipe upon successfully applying the choke so John might not even get the chance to eye poke. Additionally Dom has also fought dirty and resourcefully: slamming Hobbs' face into a metal case with a sneak attack.
Francis Niganou isn't close to being the strongest man on earth, but if he fought the strongest man on earth in a street fight he is most likely going to win.
Agreed. This analogy doesn't work though since Mitchell Hooper has no combat experience or skill as far as I'm aware, whereas Dom is quite clearly a skilled brawler and adequate grappler. Give the far stronger guy some experience and CQC proficiency and the weaker, superior skilled guy is likely to lose as the latter doesn't have as large of an adeptness advantage which means he'll get physically dominated.
In conclusion, if Dom wasn't a good fighter I'd agree John wins but that isn't the case here.
