@deathhero61: We could go on and on about the debate but it doesn't matter anymore. The only reason I did debates was to get people interested in characters that I loved. So when I saw that not only was no on else reading the posts and that you weren't either, it made everything I had done debating wise seem like a waste.
That's why I went off on Jard, and that's I've been at odds with you. I never really cared too much about winning or the votes or whatever... It's more so the heart that went into the debate and that feeling when you make someone genuinely interested in your favorite characters. That's why usually only debate using a New God or Spartan because they are among my favorite characters.
And for this debate and I guess everything in the last year I didn't really get that feeling. This debate was just the straw that broke the horses back. Not only did it feel like no one cared but it also felt like you and Jard thought that I didn't care either. And that's what tipped me off.
It's funny cause you can see it throughout the debate... Everytime I felt something was overlooked about one of characters my reaction got worse and worse as I realize my effort were futile. No one cared and looking back in retrospect I found that I was going down the same path.
In reality I should've just taken a moment to realize that if I want people to know about the things I like there are plenty of other ways to go about it.
TL;DR I'm done with debates for now because it doesn't seem that anyone cares as much anymore. All I wanted was for people to listen to me share what I loved about the characters I represented. But now I realize that debates can't do this for this me right now And with that, I also realize that I don't care anymore.
