@rudebomberboy01: I don't think anyone is forgetting that, but I do t think Thor can summon as much lighting and conjure it into magic as well as he can on a planet with a atmosphere. He also didn't have a hammer or axe in the opening of IW, and he didn't go full God mode with his eyes full of electricity which had been shown to amp him to be stronger than the Hulk.
It's not that people forgot... It's just a totally different circumstance.
Well he did workout or practice fighting for 5 years. That would do a lot to anyone. On top of that, he gained a lot of fat which probably limited his mobility.
I'd say IW Thor would have faired much better against Thanos.
@darthvaderrocks: its tricky with people that have a lot of fighting experience. A lot of fighters even damage let muscle memory and instincts take over.
Thanos could have been hurt but unconsciously reacted to a lot of critical attacks.
Some boxers can't remember the end of rounds when they go to their corners because their brain gets rattled but muscle memory and instincts take over.
But omitting that, I still think Thanos took some damage. I need HD photos to see if he had any noticeable marks and bruises.
@iamthelaw: she's quite agile and has good H2H skills. She can also run and move easily in 3 dimensions iirc.
I think she can dodge and maneuver around Hulk quite easily with portals also. Blonksi's agility helped him maneuver arpu d Hulk, the ancient one with magic can probably also.
I don't really see a problem here. But she's not the one I'm saying is a candidate for the most powerful. I said Strange potentially can reach that point or already has. Sorry if that was not clear.
@darthvaderrocks: yeah, we don't know how Thanos would have approached though. With knowledge, he might have chucked his swallow at her and while she blocked it, he could have grabbed her.
He was tired and hurt, might have been able to run faster or take the two Boulder smashes better.
It's fair to say Wanda owned him in this particular scenario. A fatigued Thanos that had no knowledge of her. A more fairy debate would definitely be a fully rested Thanos with knowledge, or a Thanos and Wanda with no knowledge where she's not blood lust and in character meaning she wouldn't go for a straight kill and study his limitations first.
I think a lot of good debates can surely be made solely based off of circumstances.
Thanos did have a weapon where if used right, it was deflecting energy quite well. Let's not forget he was fatigued and had gone through a few fights already. Also, Thanos looks like more of a strategist. Maybe he would have approached her differently on top of being fully rested.
I'm just playing devils advocate. I am more om the side Wanda did physically over power him. But can she beat him in a fair fight with equal knowledge? Not sure, might be closer than we think.
To be fair, I think Wanda knows a lot more about Thanos than he knew about her.
I think 2014 Thanos wasn't as well prepared and was a bit fatigued when he went to face 2023 Wanda.
If Wanda didn't know Thanos or she didn't have that emotional push and anger, or if Thanos knew her abilities as well as she knew of his, the outcome could have been questionably different.
