That battle where he detached that jaw, was desperate meaning Revan was giving Malak all he had, he knew it, and still challenged him. Yes a long a drawn out battle, while Revans on A dark side Nexus, after slaughtering armies of Droids, and dozens to hundreds of Dark Jedi, and Bastila a few times, with in a matter of hours, not to mention the distance Revan would of had to cover, considering how big the star forge was, yeah not mentioning Malaks SF Amp, which is ridiculously OP, and the Dozen bodies Malak drained to replenish his reserves. Yeah no, different circumstances, End of kotor is far more impressive than Darth Revan.
Unless you can find a statement from a source directly, equating knowledge with power, no, true the go hand and hand generally, but it's not the cause, you also have to take into account he was regaining his memories, he obviously hadn't lost his skill with the blade by SF.
All true, but I only gave you examples of Revan, before he tapped into the force, meaning with the force, he can pull of those feats, like mid game Slaughtering a Sith academy on a DS nexus, SF etc.
@darthbane77: You are under the assumption Malak didn't grow in power pre/during the events of Kotor. His battle with darth Revan was described as "desperate". Meaning, they were closer than you would think already pre kotor.
He has spent decades with Revan, he knows his power. His statement was genuine, he had no reason to lie right in front of his face, in fact why would he lie, Sith generally don't raise someone up/praise them, unless they are. As you said, he tries to put him down, wouldn't that indicate Redeemed Revan is stronger, than what he said?
I'm sorry there is no tangible argument to debunk that statement.
Knowledge doesn't equate to Being stronger, it only utilize that strength.
He already gained the vast majority of his skill/etc back, during the events of Kotor, as he was regarded as Taris's best duelist/Most potential out of any recruit in the past 20 years in the republic etc.

This only applies to Characters alive, at the time he possessed the Outlander. Revan was not, it would apply to Revan if it said "his most powerful opponent ever"
