@randybutternubs: Besides, I'd put his fight against Shao Kahn over the victory against the Deadly alliance. Besides, Past Shang Tsung Chose Goro because he could win the fights that he was unable to.

And Quan Chi doesn't even Use Shinnok's amulet to his advantage, for whatever reason, in his fights

@randybutternubs: Having the same abilities doesn't mean they'll be anywhere near as powerful in the current era.

Especially when Shang Tsung and Quan Chi both have lost a hefty amount in the current era and show nowhere near the same power as they did in Deadly Alliance

Going with Kung Lao, while Kotal did defeat Goro Kung Lao defeated Shang Tsung & Quan Chi. The guys responsible for killing Liu Kang.

the Deadly alliance aren't as strong as they were in the old timeline. So I don't think that would apply here.

Kotal Kahn Destroyed a ship in one attack, withstood a direct attack from Shinnok's amulet, Survived against several hits by Shao Kahn's Hammer, And matched Sheeva's strength, in spite of a damaged spine.

Kung Lao has less victories in the modern era compared to Kotal Kahn (12-9) and Kotal has more years of experience.

Kotal takes this decisively

@tormentor614: oh wow, this has been a while hasn't it.

Oh well, I haven't touched on either Naruto nor DB in a while. So forgive my lack of knowledge in my current claim.

If I remember correctly, the context between light speed reactions in DB is a bit inconsistent as I don't recall anything directly implying Either Vegeta or Goku to move at that speed. Even if we scale to other characters. At least not during the Saiyan Saga

As Naruto seems to treat Light speed as the peak of Naruto/Sasuke's abilities. Naruto dodges a beam immediately after entering his strongest form. As a way to showcase his newfound power. And Sasuke can match him in speed.

Not only that, but Sasuke's displacement ability makes him all the harder for Vegeta to hit. To top it off, Sasuke is a more creative fighter too and can find various ways to turn the fight to his favor.

@boutatakeanl: hard to say.

First off, Shang Tsung was worn out prior to the 3v1 with Geras.

Then Geras beats Fujin and Shang Tsung Back to back, yet still lost to Nightwolf.

It's kinda hard to determine whether or not he exceeds him or not.

@boutatakeanl: if we were going with Implied power, then Shao Kahn would still win, as he is implied to obtain Onaga's power.

Geras may be unkillable, but the fact of the matter is simply being "the most dangerous weapon to mankind" doesn't mean much if he is beaten by others.

Now, I agree that his fight with Sonya was jobbing.

But Raiden, Shao Kahn and Nightwolf are all high tier (Technically, Nightwolf ranks above Shang Tsung) for Geras to lose to the best in the franchise isn't an inconsistency or act of Jobbing.

Geras has the "potential" to exceed everyone else in power if he has enough time to build up his strength. But as of right now, he isn't at that point yet

@boutatakeanl: in other words.

Shao Kahn bested Geras when he was at the highest point of strength he had ever been seen before.

Although Geras could theoretically reach a point in strength where he's unrivaled in strength, he hasn't reached that point yet.

@boutatakeanl: that is true, but as we've seen in aftermath

[SPOILERS]

Shao Kahn faces an Upgraded Geras after healing his eyes, depending on who you pick, Shao Kahn or Sindel defeat Geras before Shao Kahn Smashes his head

Also, this is his upgraded self, as Geras bares his Upgraded armor, which is the version that Kronika sent to fight Raiden
