Who is Donna Troy?

If the Amazons have been absent since Diana entered Man’s World, from where did Donna Troy come? And by whom was she trained? And why does Diana feel negative about her in the Titans annual with the JLA?

If she was force grown as a young adult by a witch for the Amazons (or whatever they were) in the WW title, how was a younger version of her running around with Dick Grayson Robin and the boys before her creation?

Scott left his s wife and kids. Jean didn't cheat on her husband nor did he catch her in the clinch.

Definitely Rebirth. Wonder Woman is front and center. Most importantly, she is not overly dependent on other characters in her book frequently helping her save the day. Her villains are well fleshed out. And her attitude and perspective are not overly confrontational.

With new 52, she was given a father (Zeus) for the first time since her creation in the 40s. She was too obsessed with following her mentor, Ares, to the extent of doing what he would want her to do NOT what her Amazon heritage would have been. For a character as equally as powerful as Superman, she somehow needed a sword and shield a lot in addition to her unbreakable bracelets, super strength, wits, etc. And ultimately, the story was more about the gods than Diana.

I prefer Rebirth where she is warm, happy, and fighting against the forces of Ares.

Enjoyed the issue and the story was good. Wish more was revealed and the reason for the lie and how the other events of her life actually played out in truth.

Great foundation for the villains to be grown further.

So,

With the revelations in the Wonder Woman series that Diana has never been back to Themiscyra since she first took Steve away from the island, who is Donna Troy?

This new history negates the details around Donna's New 52 origin and the related story to that origin in the revent Titans Annual. Titans Hunt had already unraveled that origin with a teenage Donna running around years prior to her new 52 creation.

Any thoughts?

@csg_cl: true. This story is inconsistent on so many levels. Diana even comments that Donna looks so real as if she had never seen her after all that extensive brainwashing she signed off on. WW, avatar of truth, behind a big lie!

As for as the clay situation, Donna has been made of clay before. When Byrne said she was a magicked double of Diana brought to life- Donna was essentially a clone of a being made of clay. This may have been touched on in the Clayface story with WW and Donna years ago.

My problem with the current clay origin is that the clay involved was the melted down stone remains of Hippolyta who appears to be well and alive in the present day WW book. Also, that origin story involved a baby and the clay. The baby was human.

If the characters in the book accepted Donna was WW's mentee, does that mean they were also all given false memories by the "missing" Amazons?

So much is so wrong with this story. The most powerful and influential heroes and their mentees are not very concerned with the missing DC years. How do the Amazon false memory implants fit so well into the Titans restored memories? How does Donna, created from Hippolytus' remains, exist simultaneously as the very well & alive Hippolyta in the current WW storyline "Truth"?

Speaking of which, WW currently believes she has never been back to Paradise Island since she left initially with Steve-- so how did any of these events with Donna occur!?

Plus-- even in this story's flashback- Donna is "created" fully grown up so how was lil Donna part of the Teen Titans?

War of the Gods, a WW based DC crossover involved the Titans of Myth interacting with WW. Also, George Perez run touched on the influence and legacy of the Titans of Myth. Circe is a product of Hecate. Hecate is also currently used in New 52 WW.
