See the problem for me is with grant morrison it seems like his work goes off on a tangent sometimes. it makes it hard to track or whether he is being serious or not. but one thing i have noticed about his writing is it works like a detective story where he gives you bits of clues on how things will be explained. and to sum up his work on the return of bruce wayne this was the last piece of Final Crisis that we can now lay that story to rest.

    Like everyone i know says this story was separating bruce wayne from batman to me which was not the case. it was the detective surviving, trying to remember what happened and how to fix the problem known as Darkseid. i find that FInal Crisis wise, and from a business stand point morrison damn near scared off any new comic readers with his complex story line. but in turn set up for a great chain of events for batman. 
 
    For me though i found it really came together with Batman and Robin #16 where bruce is back. how Thomas Wayne and the whole return of bruce wayne series really pulled together.

Grant Morrison can make people's mind become a clusterf**k. The first three issues starts up a bit too slow for my taste, except for the last few pages in them.
I don't know why, but my least favorite out of the six is the third issue. It's not a bad issue, it just expected a little more from him being a pirate version of Batman.
Overall, SOMEHOW, Morrison made it come all together. There's a lot of backtracking to do, but I enjoyed Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne. I'm going to wait till the tradeback comes out to review it.

Great reads, mate. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I loved the way Bruce was effectively redefining himself every issue, and that each time, he was always the emissary of the Bat. I love Existential philsophy, and this comic had it in spades.

I know you planned it that way ;) Personally... I did not, since I waited to read them so closely together.  This could be why I started seeing the patterns by issue #3.  If I read it when it was released... I don't know what I would of been thinking.  "

You can be analytical with any comic...it's just far easier/more interesting with Morrison's writing.
