In the field Captain America is a great leader, one that has led Fury before, but Fury, having actually lived through all of the time that Cap was frozen, is more tuned to the times and a much better overall leader. Captain America is a soldier, Fury is a leader.

Scarlet from Brian Michael Bendis' Scarlet. It isn't necessarily all about vengeance, maybe at the beginning it was, but now it's about trying to fix a problem no one else seems to want to acknowledge or confront.

He was able to do some pretty incredible things. Would it be possible to consider him a super-hero?

Only DC? I was going to put Martian Manhunter on mine, but his weakness is fire. I was also thinking Dr. Fate, but he seems like he needs his helmet for magic. Firestorm is a great choice.

Using only 10 heroes from DC and Marvel, what would make the best team?

Here's mine.

1. Batman

Well, for one, he's Batman. He has the wealth, he's experienced, and he's great in the field.

2. Zatanna

The team needs a major magic user.

3. Superman

He's Superman. He provides air support, he's a powerhouse, and he's pretty much invulnerable.

4. Thor

Along the same lines as Superman, but with the powers of a god of thunder on top of that.

5. Daredevil

Great stealth and recon.

6. Mr. Fantastic

Genius who also has powers.

7. Jean Grey

Team needs a great telepath.

8. Wally West

Team needs a little super-speed.

9. Hal Jordan

More air support and his power is versatile.

10. Nick Fury

Hands down the best leader there is.

With made up cities the artist doesn't have to focus on making it fit the actual city. Plus, with having a made up city, the city itself becomes a character. However, a real city makes the story feel more real and immersive.
